Let's start with the positive: the tap lines were clean, so the beer was good. Now for the negatives. The sangria was overwhelmingly flavored with lime and lemon concentrate, making it undrinkable. We ordered several appetizers and a pizza to share, but none of the flavors were balanced. Both the fries and chicken were overcooked to the point of being inedible. The cornbread was raw in the middle, and the pizza had a rock-hard crust with mushy slices. We didn’t enjoy the food, and the staff noticed because we didn’t eat much. We tried to be polite and requested to take everything to go, but instead, the staff made us extremely uncomfortable by confronting us about why we didn’t like the food. After they wouldn't leave us alone, we mentioned the cornbread was raw, hoping they'd move on. I was willing to give the place a second chance, thinking it might have been an off day, but after the uncomfortable experience, I don’t plan to return. Very strange place.

This is the 3rd time I’ve tried this place to give it a fair shot. I placed an online order for plain wings with sauce on the side, chili cheese fries, and a margarita pizza. For a $16 pizza, it was very small and bland with no flavor. And it was cold when I live 2 minutes away. The fries were $11, the box was 1/3 full with the chili and cheese sauce on the side. Again, chili was bland, the fries were soggy. The wings were ok but had no flavor. For naked wings there could’ve been some salt or something on them. I’ve tried different items each time I’ve been here and the food is not worth the price. Long waits the times we ate inside. Not to mention, this time, my order was supposed to be ready at 1 pm and I didn’t walk out with it until 145. It was not very busy in there with some patrons at the bar and two tables with people. The only gesture for the long wait was a $5 off DoorDash coupon that was put in the bag. Probably not going to return.

From the warm, wood setting to the teeny salt and pepper shakers, this place was a total delight. Bethany took great care of us and made sure our beverages were always full and our meal was tasty. We enjoyed Pizza, wings, a prime rib Sammie, and chicken and waffles. It was all so flavorful and well cooked. The herb fries were my favorite and a must-have. They are a great balance of flavorful and light, perfectly crisp fries. If you’re looking for a clean, laid back atmosphere with friendly service and tasty food, look no further than Pine House Kitchen and Bar!

I knew they're just in a soft opening phase so we went in expecting things might not be perfect, but I doubt we'll be back. Made reservations for 6:30. When we arrived, there was a line at the hostess stand. The man in front of us said he thought he checked in and was waiting for a table. As I spoke with the hostess I understood why he said he thought he checked in. I told her we had a 6:30 reservation for 2, she said ok it was going to be a wait but never asked my name. Ok?? So I said we'll wait in the bar, will you get us when the table is ready? Her response was I'll try?? Still never asked for a name. As we sat at the bar I could see a table get cleaned and assumed she would come get us as it appeared the line had cleared. What happened though is another party walked in off the street and it looked to me like they were going to get seated. I walked over and asked the hostess how much longer and the manager standing there was like "oh well give them that table".

Finally seated we ordered an app and burger and asked for it all to be brought together. The appetizer, fried pickles, came out first. No plates or silverware. After about 5 minutes our server noticed and took care of that. While we sat waiting another 40 minutes for our cheeseburger my partner could see into the kitchen. What he saw is the reason we won't be back. Of the staff in the kitchen he could see, only one woman was wearing gloves. He observed one of the cooks actually handling food with his bare hands. Also, none of the cooks were wearing hats and only one woman had her hair pulled up (happened to be the same person who was wearing gloves). Wait staff, were walking in and out of the food prep area. Some of these staff members had very long hair that was not pulled up.

As for the food, we felt $17.00 was a bit much for an average cheeseburger. I heard the hype about their homemade buns and was expecting a great burger. Honestly, I prefer the burgers at Localz. I did enjoy the fries with rosemary seasoning. I found it an interesting choice, but also know rosemary is one of those herbs you either love or hate. So be forewarned if you are a rosemary hater. The best thing we had was the fried pickles. They were in a crispy batter, but still had that pickle crunch. They came with a delicious dipping sauce.

Finally, I was not impressed with the beer selection. I had seen some Facebook postings prior to opening that led me to believe they were going to be offering a good selection of beers. We just weren't impressed.

I hope this review gets through to management so they can correct their staff issues. Tiverton needs good businesses. We would love to see...

Came on 8/10 around 12:30 for our first time and definitely the last. Waitress was in a constant state of dazed and confused. We had to keep getting her attention and calling her over for basic things we shouldn’t have to. Drinks took 20 mins to arrive.. Ordered apps and the Buffalo wings were delish. Corn bread too. After she dropped off our appetizers She was walking away, (keep in mind we have been here for 45 mins at this point) and I had to say excuse me we’re ready to order our food. Almost every single waitress asks us if we’re ready to order when they drop off appetizers. It was not busy so she was not running around to multiple tables. Spent most of the time off to the side of the bar next to the bathrooms. Now we’ve been here for about 45 minutes and order our food. I had to ask her if there were any specials because it was very obvious she was not going to bring them up to us first. And then we ordered our food. 1 salad. 1 burger. At this point, another group comes in the restaurant and sit on the table next to us. Almost an hour after we have been there. 30 minutes passes by and I see food coming towards us, I expected ours. Wrong. The table that arrived much later than us got burgers and all of their food. So now it’s clear that she did not put in our order when we ordered and forgot. I am no longer patient. I’m looking for our waitress and where is she? The side of the bar next to the bathrooms, staring into space. I go up to her and politely but firm and say we are no longer willing to wait. We ordered a salad and a burger and it’s been almost another 40 mins. We have been here for an hour and a half at this point and We would like our check we do not want the food anymore. She goes into the kitchen And then a young man came out with our food. I told him I no longer want it. Why does lettuce take 40 mins to prepare? If the table on the side of us never got their food before us, I would have continued to wait and understand that times are tough finding employees. Because we were kind and we were patient Up until that table got their food. Our waitress got our bill, brought it over to our table and hovered over my shoulder like a weirdo as I was counting money. We paid and left. It is a shame because the restaurant is beautiful and the food is good. But a waitress makes or breaks your entire dining experience and this one is most definitely in the wrong career. We will not...

I’ve been wanting to try this place since I heard they were closing the previous restaurant (which I “tried” 3x to give them a chance… I WANTED to like it because the location would’ve been great for us and the building looked cool/ I liked the atmosphere). I finally gave it a try tonight and this is what I had/ my review. The owner seems super-attentive. He was present, delivering some food and generally engaging. I’m not sure who the previous owner was, but this guy cares. I half-dozen ordered bone-in wings, chili (w/ out sour cream) and chips and a beer The food was delivered within one beer, good timing! The wings came out boneless and overcooked to the point that the meat was dry. However, the taste was good with the buffalo sauce. The chili came out with sour cream. I hate SC so I sent it back.. at which point I was questioned… “are you allergic?” NO. I just hate sour cream! Chili came back and it had great flavor. I really liked it and would order again, a double portion even.

All in all, I would chalk it up to someone in the kitchen’s lack of attention to orders and I will try it again. Hopefully the owner pays attention to reviews also and takes this criticism as constructive. All in all, I think this place is a welcomed improvement over the previous establishment with good flavors. Next time I will try the chicken and waffles. It looks...
