Very disappointing experience. We took our kids there after school to play and then get something to eat. The games that they were interested in playing were broken and the rest of the selection was poor. My oldest tried to put money in the air hockey table and it ate her coins. I went up to the counter and the woman gave me the money back. My youngest wanted to try the air hockey table one more time before we went to eat and it ate the money again. This time I went up to the counter and suggested maybe putting a sign on it since it wasn't just a one time fluke and the woman just replied "stop putting money in it." Obviously, we weren't going to put anymore money in it at that point. There were two other people who were there that tried to play that I stopped and told them it was broken since she would not put a sign on it. Who knows how many other people put money in it and lost it.
When we went up to order, we were met by an extremely rude blonde girl who seemed as if we were bothering her by ordering food. When I asked how big the fries were (I was hoping she would have a basket for me to see bc I was trying to judge whether I should order several or not) she very rudely says "It's pound. A pound. A pound is a lot." Customer service skills extremely poor. I felt like any question asked was an inconvenience.
We definitely will not be going back. I will gladly spend my money somewhere else where I am not treated like an...
Read moreI live in New York but have parents that live in the Poconos and visit them regularly. For the longest I always went to other pizza places nearby. But as of recent a lot of them are under new ownership and the pizza has really taken a turn for the worst. This place calls themselves the best pizza in town so I decided to give it a shot based on the reviews and the self proclamation. I was pleasantly surprised because the pizza is definitely the best in Blakeslee/Poconos. I ordered a large pie with pepperoni and mushrooms and it tasted very good. Its not NY pizza. But I would have to agree it's the best around. Not only that but the entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I placed my order over the phone and even the gentleman who took my order was very courteous and they even sent me an update to my phone letting me know when my pizza and other food was ready.
However I took a star off because this place is incredibly pricey for the area. It's actually more expensive than the pizza place by me in NY. I paid $11 for a chicken salad which although tasted good looked like it was made from bagged salad and the cucumbers inside were soggy and not fresh. As this is a pizza place I can't really complain too much about this as most people don't go to a pizzeria specifically looking for a salad.
This will be my new pizza place moving forward for my visits and I will be coming back here again...
Read moreI walked in with our 8 year old after 9pm not realizing they closed at 9. Everyone was cleaning up already. When I realized this, I said to the lady who greeted us at the door, it’s ok, I can figure something else out for him and we started to walk back to the car. Of course this was complete devastation to a young boy who immediately put on a sad and disappointed face. The extremely friendly woman who greeted us, quickly yelled to the back asking if they had any slices left. We left with 4 hot slices last night. The pizza was absolutely delicious and I cannot say enough about the accommodating and friendly atmosphere. We have a vacation home in Arrowhead Lakes and I’m keeping busy spreading the word! Thank you for turning around my night and helping a mom out! Most of all, thank you for turning our son’s frown into a smile! Cannot wait to try many of our favorite dishes on the menu. We promise to come...
