Rizza Pizza — Restaurant in Toledo

Fantastic Pizza! We had TONI'S SPECIAL with cucumbers and ranch dressing. Can't explain how good it was. A perfect MARGARITA with fresh basil, tomatoes and Mozzarella. The bbq chicken was the best we ever had. Not too sweet. Just a perfect balance. I can't even begin to describe the APPLE STRUDEL. Let's just say we had four. We also tried an ITALIAN PEACH. We got four more to take home. We can't wait to go back to the beach, so we can stop in Toledo on our way home. Lol. The service was also a special treat. The owners made you feel part of their family. I wish I could give...

They were fast and friendly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the pizza was borderline inedible. We ordered a pretty basic pepperoni and black olives pie. The issues: Very scant toppings. Everything tasted like salt. Seriously. Like they'd dumped half a shaker of salt over the whole thing. The sauce was sour, like it had gone bad. The saltiness and sour sauce overwhelmed the cheese, the pepperoni, the olives. It was just a bad pie.

I really would like to support a local business, and I'm hoping this was just a bad day. They've got to sort things out if they want...

I have been to Rizza Pizza twice now. The first time my twin and I shared a large Italian cold-cut sandwich, It was big enough for both of us to get full. We got to chatting with the owners, whom are both really friendly. They told us they make their own sauces from scratch and bake fresh bread everyday. Having worked in a pizza kitchen for a few years myself, I can tell they use good quality ingredients and put a lot of love into their product. I think I will have some rizza pizza for dinner tonight...
