Stopped in to get 1 old fashioned and 1 choc frosting donut. These are $2 each, and the young woman didn't know how much to charge until she slowly rang it up. Got to the car and good thing I looked in the bag... she gave me a wrong donut. Went back inside, and she was going to put my returned donut back in the case, until the older lady/owner? told her NO. I'm still kicking myself for tipping her. The old fashioned tasted stale and was hard-ish. My first thought was wondering if they bought these from Safeway and are re-selling here, days later. The choc covered donut WAS stale and very hard. If an almond is a 10 [on 1 - 10 scale], this donut was an 8. It too looked just like Safeway's donuts. He told us about Double Take Donuts, handed us a get 1 free donut card and we were game for the opportunity. I just want to say that it was well worth the stop. We got a dozen donuts, a honey bun (free one) and a t-shirt! We loved meeting the better half of the business, and can’t forget Mom!
