Timbers Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Toledo

UPDATE 9/7/2025: Had to update my review from the one below. Stopped by again because we really enjoyed our first visit. Second visit. Not so much. Where I come from patrons don't reach into my sister's purse, start pulling things out and asking questions about it. But apparently this town thinks its OK. We tried to overlook it because we didn't want to make a scene. But it upset my sister so bad she couldn't finish her meal. She does not want to return. I understand small town ways because I was born and raised in a town of 2000 people. But even in a small town people have a sense of respect. Not in Toledo I am guessing.

We stopped by here for lunch on the 20th of June. Word of mouth was that the food was good. This was out first time here. We ate in the lounge. The owner and staff were SO FRIENDLY! And the food....OMG the food! Out of this world. We bought a couple t-shirts because we liked the business's logo. They gave us a couple of bonus gifts. When we got to our motel room in Newport I decided to wear the new t-shirt. The rest of the day several places that we went (including the Barge Inn), people recognized the business on the shirt and commented on it being one of their favorite spots. We WILL be back...

I was hesitant at first to go inside but a quick look through the window convinced me to try it. Once inside I saw that it was clean, inviting and had a welcoming feeling. I was able to pick my own seat and the waitress was cheerful and smiling while she answered my questions. The menu had many options, complete with the prices and some pictures. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger because that was what I was craving at the time but so much of what was on the menu seemed tempting. The burger came with fries. It was one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had. It came with the works and there was a real hamburger patty sitting on the bun. It was not the dry, hard, formed burgers you get at any fast food chain. It was like one you might make yourself. I would go back again just for that burger! The only downside to this meal was that the fries were not just cooked and a little limp but I imagine if I had asked them for fresh fries they would have made them up for me. The burger was so good that I made sure to thank the chef. I found my new place for getting a great burger and want to go back to try more menu items in the future. Terrible. My husband and I used to be regulars but the quality of the food has gone from great to barely edible. Steak not even close to cooked correctly half was done ok other half of same Steak rare like cold in the middle. Hashbrowns tasted and looked weird. My husband got rock hard avocado 🥑. If feels like they just don't care. Server never even asked if our food was good. I don't think that there is any training for the server's. Warm wate ,takes multiple trips to bring drinks for 2. Had to ask for our ticket and there was only 1 other table. Phone wasn't ringing for to go orders.
