Mia's Pizza Toms River NJ — Restaurant in Toms River

All I can say is OMG!!!! We ordered a couple times now(all delivery) and we have not been disappointed. The first order of course was just a plain cheese pizza with thin and crispy crust. First of all, they cut the pie perfectly (we all know when it’s delivered it’s sometimes cut wonky) and not one piece of cheese slid off the pie(the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect). I was impressed how tasty the crust was, it did not taste dry or “bready” The 2nd order was to try something different so we went for a Stromboli, soup (creamy chicken and potato) plus a Calzone. The Stromboli was fantastic, it was filled with not too much bread on the ends. The Calzone, while I could find no fault with it, I found I like the Stromboli’s better. NOW, LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE SOUP!!! I am a big soup person, I could have soup everyday. I could eat this soup for the rest of my life and never feel like I missed out on anything else, it was that good. It didn’t even need any seasoning because the soup had all the spices come out through the ingredients. I will order just the soup it’s that good. Not to mention, it hits the spot; you can use it as a meal and will feel satisfied! This place has become our family’s place for our Italian needs! YOU NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE, YOU WON’T BE...

I was a weekly customer up until the past two times, and now ill never order from them again ! The first time out of the past two i ordered two cheestakes and they charged me for ketchup and mayonnaise , THEN when i got the delivery the meat was burnt and there was barely any meat on either one or cheese ! SO. The next time i ordered which was about 2 hours ago i ordered ONE cheesestake, and explained what the problem was last time and asked NICELY if they can make sure there is plenty meat and cheese on my CHEESESTEAK, and not only does ONE sandwich take over and hour to get 5 minutes down the street but once again there was more bread than anything , barely any steak and cheese once again! So i call right away and complain and they appologize and offer me another one free of charge BUT to give the old one back! Why would you take the old one back ?!?!? And have me wait another hour?!? The right thing to do would have been to just deliver another one that is properly made and not ask for other one back, so you can throw it in the trash and waste food?!? UNBELIEVABLE!!!!...

Today, I witnessed something utterly unacceptable and revolting: a cook in the back room using a bare hand to scoop spaghetti out of a bowl, place it directly onto a serving plate, and then put it into the microwave.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

This level of disregard for basic food safety is appalling. I will never be ordering here again.

What if the cook was sick? What if they carried a serious illness like HIV/AIDS or another deadly virus or bacterial infection? The potential for contamination and health risks to customers is terrifying.

Management needs to check the cameras immediately, but they don't seem to care—if there even are any. This is not an exaggeration or a fabrication. This place is beyond filthy, and the level of negligence is shocking.
