The original Rich's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Toms River

Absolutely horrible horrible customer service !!! I came today Sunday with my 3 young children I ask the girl that works there that didn’t even butter to say hello ! what is the smallest size they have she showed me small medium and large i sow smaller size I wanted the smaller size for my kids she was rolling her eyes over giving me attitude until I ask her what is the problem she said it’s more difficult to put the ice cream in the kids size!?! she was just the most unpleasant employee that I ran into in a very very long time I feel bad for the owners as employees like that will run your business down!!!!! then another young girl came out from the back also was rolling her eyes both have the worst attitude the energy in this place was just dead no music no smiles no hello no nothing !!!then they both went inside in the back doing God knows what because the place was completely empty the top of the cherry was when my 6 year old son told them thank you have a good day they just looked at him rolled there eyes and didn’t even say nothing back I just wanna mention he is 6!!! I will never ever come back to this place again and make sure all my friends know the same !!!!so many ice cream places around we will never come to this...

This message is directly to the owner (Hunter) It’s sad to see that the girls that formerly worked here have moved on. The new girls are a hot mess there dropping cups and dropping products on the ground and laughing about it,and most importantly they have bad attitudes especifically one girl which I didn’t get her name. I just moved back to Toms River this year - the last time I ate at Rich's it was farther up on Route 37 and was a retro looking building with window service. The soft serve I had this evening was as amazing as I remember! Great selection of soft serve flavors! The store was clean, the service was attentive and friendly.
