I used to frequent this wawa all the time because it is literally a half mile up the road from my house and I pass by it a minimum of two times daily. Recently there has been a serious decline in the management and service as a whole. There are some good employees here, Ginger is one of them and Amy is another one. They both have always been awesome and my husband and I both really love them. Some of the other younger kids that work here are also nice and at least act like they are happy to be working. There is one manager who usually works Friday nights who is extremely miserable and has a really nasty attitude. Over the summer, they advertised their milkshakes (they are good) as being available until 1 AM, however on multiple occasions they shut the machine down well before 1 AM, more like 11PM. When my husband complained to this nasty manager she copped a serious attitude with him. Seems like whenever I try to order something to eat, they are out of what I want, from quinoa to rice to grilled chicken, etc. The quality of their food has gone down considerably and the prices just seem to keep going up. The parking lot is a death trap, not enough parking and cars driving like complete jerks through there (not necessarily the store’s fault, but still...). Whenever I would pull up later in the evening, all the employees in the store are standing out front smoking cigarettes by the entrance. You walk in the store and no employees to be seen. Half the time most of the gas pumps are closed off and only one gas attendant to serve many cars (this is a very busy intersection and the store sees lots of traffic). Recently, I pulled up to get gas, one attendant on one side of the store open only and multiple cars getting gas. I sat there for a few minutes waiting for service. In the meantime 2 cars pulled up after me and finally a stoned looking attendant in a Raiders jersey stumbled out from the enclosed area and began helping the cars that pulled up after me first. Bottom line, this wawa used to get a lot of my business, but I’ve just been very disappointed lately and have made the decision to take it elsewhere (ie quickcheck, 7-11, etc), even though it’s not nearly as convenient for me. Seems to me that Wawa has just gotten too big for their own good and forgotten what made them so popular to begin with. I can go to quickcheck and get better food with much better service for less money. Maybe it’s just this particular store or maybe wawa as a...
Read moreI’m giving one star because I can’t give zero. I stopped for gas at night as they were one of the only stations open...but most of the pumps were blocked off with cones, and unavailable. There was complete chaos with cars driving in all directions, nearly backing into each other trying to maneuver for a spot at the pump. I finally found one available and as I was backing into it, a man just pulled right into the spot. When I told him I was in the process of parking there, he said he didn’t care, complete with descriptive language, sexual harassment and verbal abuse. The employees did nothing....except of course pump gas for him! I guess it’s “survival of the fittest” at the WaWa jungle. I drove away without buying gas. I wouldn’t spend a dime on this business that doesn’t care enough about their customers to open enough pumps, or to ensure the safety and civility of their patrons.
Edit. The next morning I received a call from the manager of that local store. She apologized profoundly and gave me a gift card. She also explained that WaWa upper management only gives them one employee after 10pm and typically it’s not that busy, which was the reason for most pumps that being closed. I said they should at least draw lines or arrows to direct traffic flow to the pumps. She suggested I appeal to the company to give them more workers after 10, since it is a company policy. There’s no way one person can be aware of all that’s gping on. Time to contact...
