G's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Topeka

It's a good thing I don't live in Topeka. I'd eat way too much custard at G's! This has always been our go-to treat when the children get shots at the doctor's. There are so many combinations, I don't think you could ever try them all. The brown bread custard is famous and the concretes are generous.

The service here is not fast; they usually have just a couple of people working and it is often busy. It's family-owned and, I think, largely family staffed. If waiting is going to make you cranky, don't go. But if you are willing to be patient, you will be well rewarded. Well let's just say when a family member moved near G's my little car decided to go there quite frequently!! I love G's. The young men and women who work there are sweet and friendly. I just had the peppermint frozen custard with a dip of vanilla alongside it. It was delicious!! They always have seasonal flavors like in the fall they have pumpkin flavor usually. The peppermint is my favorite. I love purchasing gift cards for the clients of Breakthrough House in Topeka because a lot of them live in this area and are so happy when they can use a gift card for a G's. Brown Bread Crunch so yummy 😋 This time evidently was the bottom of the carton. A very slight freezer taste and not very many of the Heath Bar pieces this time. I still highly recommend G's Custard, because they're still the best custard and locally owned. Even on a day when it wasn't quite 100%, still better than others.
