Don’t use the drive through. I just went through, the lady was quick, in the I don’t have time for you, as well as made me feel like I was ruining her day by being in the drive through. She would open and close the door so fast she was dang near slamming it closed. Don’t think I’ll be going back or recommending to anyone anymore. I’m sure the food is still good, just prefer my food come from somewhere where the employees give you the time of day and don’t treat you like you aren’t good enough to be there.. it could have been a day for her or just the heat making it hard for her, unsure but when your trying to thank them for the food and the door is already slammed closed makes you feel most unwelcome. The Atmosphere she created was not welcoming at all. The guy with the rainbow hat that was also in there was super nice last time I had gone so not everyone is unpleasant in there just this one lady who is the face of your drive through. This will most certainly be the last time I try to support this local business, sorry I am not good enough for your simple courtesies or time of day. Just be transparent next time say what your problem is and It’ll be much easer going like it’s hot so I can’t have this window open long or I hate my job so I slam the window makes me feel better.. instead this lady made me feel as if I where the problem by being there so now you’ve lost business over it.. I’m very understanding when there is a reason this stuff is going on but when it happens without reasoning I’m left dumbfounded and wondering what I did to irritate this lady so much when all I wanted...
Read moreWe stopped her to grab some lunch to take home today and were so pleased with our experience! Plenty of parking, a great area with picnic benches outside and a decent amount of indoor seating were available. Tons of staff working and we were greeted multiple times like old friends. We chose two sandwiches - the Slap and the hot Alabama chicken sandwich both with a side of dilly potato salad - and both were absolutely delicious. The bread was clearly baked fresh, the chicken was grilled to perfection and the portions were HUGE. We saw a salad on someone's tabletop and it too was HUGE and looked super fresh and delicious....will absolutely try those next time! They also had a range of baked goods (scones, cookies, brownies, hand pies etc) and of course, a full menu of coffee products. We could absolutely bring our kids here for breakfast or lunch and find something for everyone (even have yogurt fruit parfaits and the like!). Glad to have another solid coffee/deli option on this side of town and we will for...
Read moreThis morning I needed to get breakfast in a pinch and being from out of town I was unsure where to go. I found Higher Grounds and decided to put in a to go order. Travis answered the phone and was so helpful in helping me decide what to get. His bubbly and kind personality made me confident in my choice of Higher Grounds.
When I arrived at Higher Grounds everything was ready for me which was surprising since I didn’t give them lots of time. I ended up ordering a hash bowl and a mountain man, which were both super yummy! I wish I would’ve gotten a photo. The lattes I ordered were also perfect. I left smiling from my experience with Travis and timeliness of everything.
Next time I’ll have to make time to sit down inside to enjoy everything! Anyways, I’m super delighted with the service and food I received from Higher Grounds and I would definitely go back again! Plus it’s dog friendly which is a big...
