Carvel — Restaurant in Torrington

I purchased an ice cream cake from this store on June 4, 2022. When I served it to my guests, I thought it tasted stale. There was writing on the underneath side of the cardboard the cake was on designating the date it was made and what kind of cake it was. There was a number written on the bottom of the cardboard that was 2/28 but the number 2 had been written over with a number 5 to make it look like it was freshly made. I called the customer service line to place a complaint on June 6. When I did not receive a response, I called again. This time I was asked to send an email with more information. I sent it on June 29. I still did not receive any response to either phone calls or my email, so I called once again in July. The customer service rep who answered my call acknowledged my complaint had been filed, and said that he would check on it. That was almost one month ago, and still no response. Not only was the ice cream cake poor quality, but the customer service complaint line is useless. I will not go back to that store again, and may not do business with any Carvel store again because they don't seem to care about how their customers feel about their products...

When I went in I was greeted by a very nice young lady. She was so helpful and nice. Got my Ice cream and was sitting there eating it in my truck and was able to watch a lady decorate cakes with no gloves on. She dropped one on the floor. Yes she cleaned it up and then picked up the dirty mat and moved it and then went back to putting the cakes in the case. Then she went back decorating cakes and NO SHE NEVER WASHED HER HANDS after all that clean up on the floor. She wiped her hands on her shirt and pants that the dirty mat touched her. Yes she was handling sprinkles with her bare dirty hand with NO GLOVES. Yes she handled the cakes and everything that went on the cakes with her dirty nasty hands. Will I go back to this ice cream...

For the second time in one month I went to Carvel for a Sundae. Same Sundae I always get. The first time one young girl started it, handed it to another young girl who did it incorrectly and when I asked for what I wanted, she basically threw the Reese's pieces at the sundae . Tonight all staff was so concerned about their friends, or the line of cars pulling in than attending to customers. I asked for my usual sundae to bring home. Hardly any ice cream...I ask for extra fudge and peanut butter sauce...hardly any at all. Maybe 10 Reese's pieces, very little whipped cream. All staff was distracted, chatting amongst themselves, very unattentive to customers. I have gone to this Carvel for years and this year it has been...
