Quenas has been a staple in my families lives for a few years now. We celebrate events and milestones here. Why? Two reasons.

  1. the food. Its terrific. Always changing in some way, they try to add something new without compromising taste and quality. I have my favorites for sure, but the only I’ll talk about now is the ice cream. It’s absolutely delicious- and if you do go. Try it.

  2. the people. Run by an amazing brother and sister duo, they feel much like our siblings- our family. Warm and friendly, no matter the atmosphere. They don’t always have the time to stop and chat for a while- but they always make you feel seen regardless. If someone is wrong (as is the industry), they make sure to make it right.

The servers, new and old, are always getting continued training and support. For example: I have a pretty severe food allergy, and after the 2nd time visiting- I’ve never had to remind the team- they often jokingly remind me. And when they don’t, my food still comes out with no allergen in sight. Doesn’t matter if it’s busy or not.

It’s a great atmosphere to be in.

Ive given recommendations here to many a friend, and I’d recommend it to an internet stranger as well. Come in and try it out- you...

I don't even know where to begin. Food, phenomenal. Service, unmatched! I stumbled upon Quenas while traveling for business. I was looking for something different than my usual fare but did not expect to be blown away. Blown away I was! The atmosphere is very cozy but feels personal, and not cramped. We served from start to finish by just one exception server, seating and all. From his pleasant and helpful suggestions to his promptness of service were all impeccable. He had a way of disappearing in plain sight yet remained ever vigilant to enhance your dining experience. I would take a sip of water and he would put one back in the glass. I was moving from one course to the next and he was there to offer options and a container for to-go. All the while he never seemed intruding or overbearing. Moving onto the food itself, delicious. The menu was full of authentic and interesting options but I did land on a special. A trout dish, whole served, with anticuchos(beef heart) up front. All of the food was cooked to perfection and plated well. The wine list was certainly adequate for pairing and left nothing to be desired. I would certainly take a date here but could also be nice for a casual meal or...

I really do love this place. We waited months before giving it a shot and we were so blown away. It looks so underwhelming from the street, we didn't realize that the only 6 tables seen from the street is not the entirety of dining space. There is an outdoor patio that has plenty more seats. It's great for a nice weather day to sit out back. They have such unique food that is really Peruvian, they use peppers and spices as well as fruit and veg that is native to Peru. Everything I tried was a symphony of flavor on my palette and the service was really great. The sangria is good as well! The desserts, specifically their donuts and ice cream that is again all using Peruvian ingredients was just mind numbingly good. Been here twice so far and will be back again for sure. Give this place a try if you want something different then sushi or pub food in Harrison.

UPDATE: We've been back numerous times. I'm yet to have anything I don't like. The sangria gets better and better every time I go. Last visit we had the two specials, a fried pork dish and a mixed seafood plate. Both were amazing! It's not a surprise that the NY Times wrote them up as...

We live 40 minutes away, but my husband and I come to Quenas now and then because it has reliably delicious food and attentive, kind service. The dishes are beautifully presented, adorned with an edible flower (I always eat mine...why not?), and any cocktails with foamy tops have a little heart "drawn" atop the foam. The complimentary Peruvian toasted corn is positively addictive. The outdoor seating area is festive and cheerful, with lots of twinkling lights. The vibe is a bit like a Peruvian prom, but I think it's fun!

Great experience today at Quenas! We began with a ceviche mixto - so fresh and the perfect amount of heat - as well as the chicken causa (yellow mashed potato and chicken salad cold appetizer). For main dishes we tried the tallarín saltado de camarones (shrimp noodle stir fry) and bistec encebollado with tacu tacu (steak and onions with a rice and bean mix). Both were delicious. Also, service was excellent! They were very attentive to my family. Will be back again soon!

This was my second time visiting & once again the food was good, full of flavor, their drinks were pretty good & the staff was friendly. The garden patio is a nice date scene. My only "con" was they could use a few citronella plants in the garden. You walk away full, satisfied & so do the mosquitos. Grab a bottle of off, deet free of course & try the food & drinks if you appreciate flavor as much as I do.
