Total scam of a music school. I signed my son up for a "trial" month of lessons. When I tried to cancel after 1 lesson I was told it was too late and I had to pay for a 2nd month of lessons. Absolutely horrible experience. My son hated the school and the instructor. I do not recommend this school.
We were going to be on vacation for 2 of the 4 lessons during our "trial" month which I mentioned when signing up. I was told don't worry- we have plenty of options for makeups. Another total lie. We were given 1 option on a Saturday at 4pm. Or another option 2 months later, again at 4pm on a Saturday. Not what I'd call plenty of options for a make up. Our only other choice was to "donate" the lessons we would miss.
This place promises the moon to get you to sign up and is a complete scam. Very poor way to run a business. Zero flexibility. Zero respect for the customer. I'm so sorry I signed up here. There are so many better options in the area where I won't feel I am being scammed and cheated.
**update - the general manager called me and apologized for the ordeal and I was grateful to be given a refund and not charged for the 2nd month. After the refund was posted and confirmed, I was contacted again and asked to take my review down. I refused. I think it’s important for parents to see an honest experience. People have all different experiences that range from 1 to 5 stars. It’s always suspicious when you see only 5...
Read moreOur daughter has been taking lessons here for about an year and a half. We probably would have continued had it not been for us moving out of state. With that in mind: our daughter has been working the last 4 months on a piano piece for the recital to be held the 2nd weekend in June. All parties knew ahead of time that May was going to be the last full month of lessons due to our moving. I was just told today May 24 that our daughter cannot participate in the recital due to the fact that she will not be enrolled as a student in June. I asked that since we are moving and thus cannot be an enrolled student for the month of June if there was something that can be done. The answer was no.
So, basically, they are going to hold hostage the ability for an 8 year old child to perform a piece she has been working hard on for the cost of a months' worth of lessons that are NOT going to be used.
Great customer service. Way to look out for the kids.
Update: I'm going to let the owner's response speak for itself, and I stand by every...
Read moreFive starts for my daughter's teacher Madeleine (Piano), the sweetest teacher at Harrison Music School.
Ms. Madeleine is a remarkable piano teacher who has made such a positive impact on my daughter's musical journey. Her sweet demeanor and endless patience create the perfect environment for learning.
Under her guidance, my daughter's hand coordination has improved significantly, and she's developed an impressive ability to memorize pieces.
What stands out most is how she makes each lesson engaging while maintaining high standards for progress.
I highly recommend her to any parent looking for a piano teacher who truly understands how to connect with children while bringing out their best musical abilities. The progress we've seen has been...
