Burrito Bay — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

I placed a small catering order over the phone on Wednesday for a Saturday late afternoon pick up. Our party started promptly at 6pm and since they do not deliver your food unless its the big food package, I had to pick it up myself. I arrived at 5:15pm for my 5:15pm pick up so I had enough time to run back home and get the food out before everyone arrived. When I got there, they did not have my catering order ready. The actually misplaced the sheet with my order on it and once they finally found it, I had to wait for my food to be put together. They had to take the meat that was being served to regular in store customers and pack that up for my catering order. I then had to rush back home and get it all ready. If you like chipotle you would probably like this. I’ve had the chicken and steak burrito bowls. The chicken was a bit chewy and I didn’t love the way it was seasoned. The rice could use more lime and it tastes like they don’t “wash” the rice thoroughly (if at all). IYKYK. The steak is wayyyy better than the chicken. They have really good tortilla chips and white queso dip! It could be cleaner in the main areas (baseboards and corners). Staff are friendly and patient. I noticed they use plastic wrap in the hot trays, I guess for “easy clean up” but that’s toxic and I think they should remove that plastic and crank up the heat so that the food is hotter. The peppers and onions were soggy. I ended up picking them off. It’s not authentic Mexican food but again, if you like chipotle- you’ll like this. Got the buffalo chicken glutton burrito delivered, honestly it's probably one of the best tasting burritos I've ever had, anywhere. Much like everybody else I got the glutton size, ended up overeating but if I ate a regular sized portion this could've easily lasted me two days, but I do have a lower than average appetite. $18 for two days worth of food is pretty reasonable.

Now they did forget to add a couple of toppings I requested for (and sour cream that I paid for), and the burrito arrived warm on the top and cold at the bottom. That kind of uneven heating I'd probably attribute to the restaurant, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of doubt considering how many good reviews are on here.
