Just had my worst restaurant experience here after three years living here in the US. Late in the evening yesterday my wife told me to grab a subway sandwich before going home because she's so busy and had no time to cook. Upon arriving there were already two customers ahead of me, and I saw only one employee working there, looking very nonchalant and unwilling to help.
I waited, because he was slow. How slow? Before I was able to order, three customers came in. Two, who are friends, stood behind me. To keep the spot, they went to the restroom separately. I was still waiting, when they both came back in the line. Okay, I saw there was only one person working inside. Slow but understandable. The clerk looked like something really pissed him off. The two female customers ahead of me were kind enough to encourage him, saying something like "try to have a good night," but I was not interested in knowing any about that. Just want to buy and leave. This is a "fast" food restaurant anyway.
My turn, finally. I ordered a footlong veggie, and here came the worst part. When he finished packing my sandwich. He did NOT go ahead and let me check out. He put my packed sandwich down there and turned back to the two customers behind me who made two different orders. He made their sandwiches and let me wait there. I was shocked to be treated like this. I was thinking if I should just leave and let him know I am very dissatisfied with his attitude. But with my hungry wife at home (whose favorite is Subway veggie) and after a whole day's study, I really didn't want to spend time driving in the snow to another Subway. I was tired. But seriously, it's no doubt my worst restaurant experience ever here. I cannot help but wonder if I would be treated like this if I were an American and not an Asian. I am not sure about the reason why I was treated like this. I feel he might be taking the advantage of the fact that I do not speak English fluently. So he might have assumed I wouldn't complain and argue with him. But perhaps I am too sensitive about the ethnicity issue, but it's more than obvious that the guy brought too much emotion to work and treated the customer in one of the most disrespectful fashion.

Called there and told them there was no cheese on either of our subs and they argued with me that there was. I also asked for extra olives, they gave me about 5, there was about 10 pieces of spinach and enough mayo to feed an army. The girl who answered asked the person who made it and said "mom here talk to this person" The women came on the phone was rude and argumentative calling me a liar, i asked who the manager was and she said, "my daughter" WHAT IS GOING ON? Seriously these subs are all roll. Spend the extra 3 dollars and go to a real sub shop. The subs and service STINK,...
Read moreThis subway has one good staff member who knows what they’re doing and she’s never working anymore don’t even know if she’s still an employee everyone else is horrible. I walked in to get lunch and instead of stopping what she was doing this worker took her sweet time finishing filling some drink dispensers then went and took bread out before doing anything to help me. I get 30 minutes to eat I don’t have time to watch you do these tasks that can very clearly wait until after I’m gone.
