ICHA Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

I went to ICHA Cafe with a big group of friends and was left extremely disappointed. I have been coming here for a while with my friends since it’s close to UB. The service and quality has gotten extremely poor.

As we sat down with our drinks, we started to play with the games they had available and as games typically go, we were laughing and chatting. We spent at least hundreds of dollars just that day but they treated us like we were loitering and in there for free. One of the workers came up to us and was extremely rude saying we were too loud and we can’t do that in here.

We decided to stop playing and just finish our drinks to leave. One of my friends had ordered a waffle and left to go to the bathroom when the workers left it on the counter so she was not aware that it was ready. The worker very rudely asked, “whose waffle is this?” And when she replied, “mine” she was given a very dirty look and told to take it away.

They treated us with extreme hostility the whole time with very mean looks as if we hadn’t just spent hundreds of dollars at their establishment. Even as they were being rude, we made sure to clean up before we left but even as we left they looked at us like vermin. Icha's beverages are easily the best you can get in all of Buffalo! My Dad is addicted to the jasmine peach tea and I have never seen him so excited to order somewhere in my whole life. Multiple times a day he says 'Icha?' and then we patiently go about our day counting down the hours until the café opens. It is nice to see how the drinks here are desired by multiple generations and to be able to make a trip to Icha a family outing!

Ordering online is so easy to do and their service right now during the pandemic has been prepared exactly to specifications and I commend the employees for their dedication to serving the community during this time! The atmosphere is very elegant inside, with the minimalistic styling offering a fresh scenery not often seen in Buffalo. The containers used for the tea are of the highest quality. The bold and unique flavor tea offerings (lychee, jasmine peach, mango oolong, red bean milk tea, just to name a few favorites), paired with special details like adding fresh citrus slices to the drinks, make the tea drinking experience truly sublime (pun intended).

Icha café is easily the premier café to purchase tea from in the whole area. I hope more people discover this hidden gem right near UB's north...

I JUST TRIED THIS PLACE LIKE 5 MINUTES AGO AND THE TWO LOVELY PEOPLE WORKING THERE WERE SO NICE!! it was a boy and a girl!! i asked them about their crystal boba (cuz i’ve never had it) and they let me try some in green milk tea and they were very friendly!!! :] i got a peach tea (30% sweet) with tapioca pearls and the crystal boba!!! my little brother got a mango slush with passion fruit boba!!! he really liked his :D i think next time i’ll get 0% sweetness cuz i’m definitely coming back(i don’t like sweet)!!! but i think the 30% is not overly sweet and is a good level if you want to still taste the tea!! :D i really recommend this place!!!! it deserves 5 stars i think. also the decor looks like it would be a really adorable place if it weren’t covid times and you could sit down!! anyways cant wait to try more off their menu!! 12/10 recommend!!! i plan on making it one of...
