Stellas Pizzeria 2 — Restaurant in Town of Athens

My family and I are new to the Athens area and had no real idea where we could find good pizza.We were recommend to stellas pizza by someone who enjoyed stellas 1. We Only ordered from stellas 2 (3) times and that's enough for me. The first 2 times I thought oh wow it's decent food good prices and the staff is friendly. Then it went down hill. The 3rd time I ordered the number was busy for over 30 mins straight, when I finally got someone on the phone it was 7:15pm and I was immediately put on hold for 45mins I hung up called right back was put back on hold ( now it was 8pm and they close at 9) after an hour this time on hold I wanted to hang up and try again but I realized it was after closing. So I continued to wait. Finally someone came back to take my order and explained to me that Sometimes when they put people on hold they forget about them so if I'm on hold any longer than 10 mins top call back always. Anyway 45 mins later our order showed up and shocker it wasn't correct,(seeing as it was after closing and they didn't want to stay to make more food but because I'd been on hold so long they can't really tell me sorry we're closed) however there was nothing that could be done because the chef was gone. We were offered a compensation of 5.00 off our next order but we turned it down due to just being so frustrated at that point. Still having hope I tried again tonight after 37 mins of dialing then hanging up then immediately redialing only to be met with a busy signal over and over again I gave up. My recommendation is to order from Paul's pizza in coxsakie, the prices are a bit higher but the food is amazing, staff is ultra friendly and helpful, they do get busy but I almost never get a busy signal and the few times I have been asked to hold its been maybe 3 to 4 mins...

The best thing about this place is that you can take it to go and walk across for some killer water views.

Seriously. This is the worst mix ever. Super confusing. Confusing menu. So many options but you’re not really sure what they’re good for. Naturally pizza is one of them and you can never go wrong with pizza, right? Pizza was fine. Just grabbed a couple slices to go.

I would NEVER dine here. Covid or not. The ambiance is not appealing at all. You have a killer view outside with a vibe killer inside. A menu so large you get lost. It’s basically a diner? But a pizzeria? But a pub? But you eat here? So you can get spaghetti and meatballs? I think? But also chicken and waffles type of thing.

Super confusing. Not my fave. At all. What’s also not my fave is the fact that they have a plexi glass to protect themselves from us (while we’re wearing masks) and masks ARE required but apparently not for employees. Hmm..also super confusing.

The person that helped me had no mask on, no gloves, yet she was handling our food. As i peeked to the kitchen, several people were not wearing masks. SUCH A TURN OFF.

When I went to leave I decided to grab myself a little to go container of hot pepper flakes (that was never offered to me nor did I want her to handle it after touching her face and my card and the register while wearing no mask). I was abruptly stopped while she said well you know “covid” as she’s there without a mask and I am. Funny. Lol.

Anyways. This place is probably the only place open. And yes you can have many options of food. Not exactly sure I’d come back here but give it a try YOU might...

Many times you order online & they never see your order. Today I waited an hour and a half for what I thought would be delivered because online you can select delivery. I called and the rude older woman answered saying they never received our order “let me grab this stupid tablet” then she sees it there immediately and says oh we no longer deliver during the day time. Why advertise delivery and have it as an online option if you don’t deliver?? Lately their food has been disgusting last week I got inedible garlic knots that tasted like uncooked flour was put on them instead of cheese. My calazone is always and I mean ALWAYS raw in the middle and most times I have random toppings thrown inside when I only ordered mushrooms. When we do get delivery the driver won’t come inside and calls to have us exit ththe apartment building and meet him outside… terrible service for being the only local place other than...
