China Buffet — Restaurant in Town of Bridgeport

Pulling up, the place looked questionable, but we decided to give it a try, and that was a bad decision. The place was really worn down, it was old and outdated. No work put into making the place look presentable. The lady serving us was rude, but we did get a table and went to eat the buffet, which was terrible. The food was old (many hours old) it was also cold, hard, and shriveled. It tasted bad/not cooked with any care, and I could actually call it a health hazard. They did make new food which would have been good...If they didn't mix it in with the OLD FOOD, they didn't even make enough. Disappointing honestly, especially for the price of almost $60 dollars for 4 people. We barely ate because we couldn't. The dishes were cold, and not enough to be called a "buffet". So she should have at least apologized or charged us half price for having barely legal food. In general the place looks like it went through chernobyl and the food really reflects that. They give Asian people a BAD NAME and make us look bad (me and my family are Asian), especially being in a small town they should be ashamed and shut down or at least try to be better. Doubt this place would pass any health inspections. (Also what's up with the old, busted, barely running mini-fridge with stacked up scary/old...

Our granddaughter wanted Chinese during her stay with us. She had just turned 10 and she got choose the place. I would not recommend stopping here, ever. We had a party of four and stopped at 1pm on a Saturday. Most of the buffet pans were less than 1/4 full of food and white rice was kept in a crock-pot. We thought this was a good sign, "the food must be good and they will restock soon". That was not the case. We sat down to eat and observed staff coming out sporadically to dump small amounts of food on top of what was left in the serving pans. Besides our table there was maybe 15-20 other guests and one waitress who only interacted to ask what beverage everyone wanted and to leave the ticket shortly thereafter. The soup was lukewarm at best which is a safety concern. Eating out in this economy is not something we do frequently, not even monthly. The $55 for our party of 4 was a huge disappointment and confirmation that we should not eat out at all. I highly recommend eating anywhere...

10/29/2017. I usually go about 1x per month, always doing to go. The lady owner or manager was extremely rude. I was taking a chicken and onion/pepper dish and it must have been that I had too much of the meat and not enough of the veggies. She asked me in a tone that was more like accusing and snotty and rude if I "not like vegetables (sic)" I said yes and she stood and watched me fill the container. I tried to ask her 6 times if there was a problem and if there was a problem with what I was taking...from a buffet!!!! She then acted like she spoke no English. I will not be back. For $11.00 pus tax, it is not worth the selection, the almost empty pans while they try to slow down in house guests, and this rudeness. She also seems to be rude to the staff. I am therefore updating my original review, which is below. I also changed this from 3 stars to 1.
