I checked in after 9pm and opened the window for some fresh air and I realized the window lock didn’t work. My room was on the bottom floor facing the parking lot. I went to the front desk and waited for a while and no one ever came. I called the front desk and I told Sheila about it. She responded “we are aware that most of the windows locks don’t work, however we never had an incident. I can ensure we will not have any in the future, we live in a very nice/quiet town. Plus, we have security camaras. You have to realize this is a 30 yr old building…” I said “I fear for my safety and also my belongings could get stolen if someone breaks in.” She said again “I can ensure you nothing will happen, thanks for letting us know though...” I said I will talk to the manager tomorrow,” she responded, “I’m the manger(Sheila)…” At that point I knew I had lost the battle… After traveling for almost 18hr and being late at night, I knew I wasn’t going to move to another hotel that night. I ask her “do you at least have a stick I can put on the window so it doesn’t open?” She got a metal stick. It was a bit big and I didn’t really do the work. So, I decided to go to Walmart and look/buy for something that could work. I got a shower rod. My stay was for 5 days. Sheets were only changed upon my request only once. My room/bathroom was never cleaned, only wet/dirty towels were replaced daily except for one day I arrived late at night and nothing was done. So, I asked for towels. During breakfast, I saw a construction guy not staying at the hotel having breakfast too. It made me wonder why outsiders eat at the hotel too… 🤔 By the way some windows don’t have window screens either. Mine didn’t have one and breakfast is the same...
Read moreworst stay ever! front desk was VERY rude. asked where the ice machine was, told me down the hall, but don't waste your time, its out of order! Not any ice at all in the building. 11pm at night the girl working, apparently the acting manager, said there's a gas station down the road, i should try there, then blamed problems on other employees who apparently were supposed to pick some ice up? i then returned to the room and sat down at the desk the chair was broken! it immediately tipped me over completely backwards! I took the broken chair to the front desk, same girl admitted to knowing the chair was broken, then blamed another employee for not taking care of it. She was then going to move us to another room, after we already unpacked, i said all i wanted at that point was a chair to finish some work. She pointed me to the chair at the lobby computer an said take that one then i guess! After all this she had the nerve to ask if we wanted breakfast in the morning, i answered that i didn't know yet, she said she needed to know because we were the only guests and wouldn't set it up for just us. Needless to say we will NEVER stay again! if a negative rating were offered, this place would get one! It should not be part of the...
Read moreThis place is desperately in need of an overhaul. I have a giant, old jacuzzi tub next to my bed...weird. It's the only shower in the room too so I have no choice but to climb the stairs and get in it. The bed is like a slab of concrete. I actually took my bedding off and slept on the worn carpet because it was more comfortable. My back was not having it, and the springs jabbing my hips were unbearable. I filled the jacuzzi tub to try to find a silver lining, but when I turned it on, it spewed chunks of mold and hair into the water. The curtain is growing mold, too. You can see and smell it. The ladies behind the counter have been rude and snippy, and although they have a couple floors, their's no elevator. Breakfast was pretty gross but better than nothing. Powdered eggs, steamed mushy brown and serve sausages, half cooked frozen potatoes in a crockpot, assorted breads and cereals, and of course waffles The staff started slamming the door shut to the utility closet next door at about 6 am. Thanks for that. I recommend checking the Best Western down the street, I can't imagine they're as...
