Place was clean and warming. Waitress staff was also pleasant and helpful. Now to the food. The Japchae was so disappointing and did not taste authentic at all. Iāve had this dish more times than I can count. I was really expecting flavor and only tasted plain noodles. There was also a lack of effort with the limited ingredients ( onions, carrots and peppers). The Kimbap was also dry and I could not even finish and I hate wasting food. The waitress did offer a spicy sauce, but the flavors did not blend well. This may work well for the American palate but if you are looking for authentic flavor donāt set your expectations too high, like I did. SN: I also expressed my thoughts in person when asked, no one came to speak to me, which is fine but before the owner responds I want to make that clear.
adding to update from owner review* To the creepy owner who will watch videos to justify why they are time stamping their customers moves as if they are criminal, your food is not good nor authentic , yet you use Korean culture likeness and name. Maybe thatās why the food is not good*
I appreciate your detailed response, but I must express my concern regarding the breach of privacy in your message. It is inappropriate and concerning that you disclosed specific details of my visit, including the exact time and order details, and referenced security footage to address a customer complaint.
While I understand your intent to resolve the issue and clarify the situation, sharing such personal information publicly, or even in response to a customer, compromises privacy and confidentiality. I am requesting you redact such sensitive information of timestamps and children information. I have no issue with you responding other than your breach of privacy.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeoul Drop is Rochesterās newest gem. The menu is very diverse, and every single item is of high quality; it feels like one is in a fine restaurant, cafĆ©, and bakery all at once. This is matched by the layout of the restaurant; the place is quite big and they have a variety of seating arrangements that create the different āmicroā environments and for dinner with family or friends, date night, studying with one of their excellent coffees (they have almost as many electrical outlets as they do seats), or simply just a sweet treat. There are always enough people that the place feels very lively, yet at the same time Iāve always been able to find a place to sit. The ambiance of the place makes me feel like Iām in NYC rather than Rochester. And the place is EXTREMELY clean. Most importantly, the prices are very affordable! $7 is enough to fill your stomach, and they also have āsmall bitesā that are extremely affordable ($2-4) for those who just want a light meal. This restaurant truly has something for everyone. My only complaints are that sometimes there is a bit of a line, especially in the evenings, but this is understandable given how popular the place is. The menus on the screen could also be a bit easier to read (the screens seem to shift just a tad bit too quickly), but a copy of their menu that is very simple and clear is also available on their instagram. A really nice touch is that there is no way to tip, and the price you see is what you pay (especially appreciated with recent inflation and changes in tipping culture). Local establishments like Seoul Drop are exactly what this city needs. I have already been here a few times, and for the food, price, and ambiance, I see myself coming here frequently in the future. If you think this review is an exaggeration, go there yourself and you will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpon entering, I was surprised by the spaciousness and openness of the restaurant and pleasantly impressed by actually being greeted by the staff. You can order either at the kiosk or at the register, and while our family chose the kiosk, we could see other customers who were first timers getting their questions answered at the register. The kiosk is relatively straightforward to navigate, and we ordered a few different dishes to try. I was at first confused by what the difference between a single and meal was, but the prompt let me know that the meal comes with a drink and a side (japchae, tteokbokki, or cream tteobokki). We ordered a bulgogi kimbap meal ($11.60), spicy chicken rice bowl meal ($11.20), pork cutlet kimbap ($8.20), and original tiramisu ($6.50) + basque cheesecake ($5.50). For 2 adults and 2 kids, the total was around $45, which included desserts. (I was waiting for the tip screen to show up, but it never did and later I found out that they have a no tip policy) The order came out quickly (~10mins), and before I could take pictures, we scarfed it down! The flavors are so āź¹ėķ“ā , meaning clean, and the freshness was great. Having recently lived in Seoul, Korea for 10 years, I missed the quick, convenient, and healthy Korean food options. While we try to make Korean dishes at home, the amount of effort that it takes to make one dish sometimes isnāt practical when you are on a busy schedule. Iām so happy that Seoul Drop is close to where I work/live! It offers such variety of easy, affordable options that are actually healthy. I canāt wait to come back with my...
