My Mom had the worst experience with this diner. On two occasions she found HAIR in our food. The first time she dismissed it as her own hair because she and my Father have been going to the diner for 15 years. The second time she found hair in her mash potatoes and called the manager. The Manager 's son named Steve simply denied that the hair found was from his diner and only offered my Mom the money spent for the mash potatoes not the entire seafood meal.
My parents have spent a lot of money at this diner over the years and the quality of service has deteriorated. The quality of control during the evening shift is far worst then the day shift ,although, the day shift constantly forgets to place items paid for in the bag when ordering food to go,which forces a patron to return to pick up the item left out of the initial purchase.
My Mom did not have the heart to call the Board of Health although I forewarned her that hair follicles contain sweat and can make a person ill.
I also forewarned my Mom that she should have been reimbursed for the entire meal not just the mash potatoes ,because once one item in a meal is contaminated the whole meal is contaminated.
My parents will not call the board of health due to all the previous years they ate at Coram diner and no hair was in the food but vow to never eat there again.
Thus, take my advice and do not eat there unless you do not care if the food is unclean and has hair inside of...
Read morePlace was nice. Got food. Was okay. The menu is very bunched together and prices are confusing. I got 2 stack of pancakes, just under the pancakes are "with bacon, sausage or egg" . So I got bacon and pancakes thinking it came with one of the three like any restaurant. Got the bill and it said 4.90 for the bacon. I questioned it and they said it's extra for the bacon, sausage or egg. I told them it was misleading as they said "with". They had pointed to the right of the price chart. All the prices were bunched right under one another and it wasn't clear to what was priced for what, and wasn't clear that bacon was extra. Server was great but didn't mention bacon was extra. The person on register was too persistent and not listening when I explained my concern of the confusion. Kept thrusting the menu and trying to show me the price. I told him I understand but it was not clear that it was extra. Was talking to my boyfreind about it and cashier came and thrusted the menu in the middle of us talking, pointing at the prices. Very rude and improper. The only reason I gave a 3 star is because I really liked the server but the cashier out of pocket. I guve him a 1 star. Wasnt even told have a nice day after he thrusted the menu in my boyfreinds face. Wont be coming back again. Loved the server though, she gets a 5...
Read moreOk, editing my original review. The last few times I've gone to this diner, absolutely everything was subpar. Service, the food, the hair in the food, and the fact that the water, when brought practically moments before we left, tasted like they scooped it from the toilet. Customer service was iffy.... Toast was soggy, coffee was bitter, and I couldn't figure out why I gave them another chance. Well, last night was the final straw. I'd worked all day, was tired and cold, and just wanted some chili. I asked the waitress, who was the only silver lining to this, how it was and she was diplomatically trying to warn me to not eat it. I should have paid attention to the dear.... They gave me a cup of undercooked beans with some ground meat and chili flavored broth... Served over a lake, I mean rice. It was soooo liquidy... And the piece de resistance, it was topped with about a half a lb of cheese and raw red onions... I had already arrived home when I discovered this. I got as much off as I could, as they are not something I'd ever eat, but it was everywhere. And just for fun, the onion scent was oozing out of my pores for hours, regardless of my hot shower. Never again. Seaport is just as close. Or if I'm feeling like getting amazing food, Premiere in Commack. Far...
