Dunkin' — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

The staff here at Pine Plaza Coram NY is terrible. It seems they would rather hang out with friends or smoke outside when they’re supposed to be inside working, and goof off with their coworkers, instead of properly taking an order. I have had issues on multiple visits. Tonight was by far the worst. They couldn’t get a simple sundae order correct; they made my sundaes wrong three times. I ordered 4 sundaes. The first two were to be identical - vanilla/PB sauce/hot fudge. I was asked what the 3rd was to be, and I ordered chocolate/PB sauce/hot fudge. The worker assumed, without asking, that the 4th was going to be the same. When I saw 2 cups of chocolate ice cream, I told them that only 1 was supposed to be chocolate. The other was mint chocolate chip. Next thing I know, they are topping the mint chocolate chip (without asking) with peanut butter sauce. Ewww! I stopped them, and said only the chocolate was to get PB sauce. The mint was to have hot fudge and sprinkles. I commented that PB sauce doesn’t even go with mint ice cream. Oh, and I had to ASK for whipped cream. Since when does a SUNDAE not automatically include whipped cream?? They start over on the 4th sundae, but instead of making it correctly, they AGAIN top it with Pb sauce. AGAIN it had to be made over. I stressed what it was supposed to be, again commented that Pb sauce on mint would be gross, and - silly me - I thought they finally listened and got it right. I took my sundaes without checking them over, paid for them, and drove home. As I removed them from the bag, I saw PB SAUCE on MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP ice cream! YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME! Check the others - 2 vanilla sundaes... where’s the chocolate? No chocolate ?? They must have thrown out the wrong sundae because the other is mint chocolate chip, also (without Pb sauce).... but wait... it is a scoop of mint chocolate chip AND a scoop of chocolate. Aha! So is the other one.... instead of making 1 chocolate sundae with PB and 1 mint chocolate chip sundae with fudge.... they made chocolate/mint with fudge and chocolate/mint with Pb. HOW did they still put PB on mint is beyond me when I commented twice that the flavors would be gross together. I had to drive back to have them fixed. And he sorta messed up again adding fudge to the chocolate ice cream with Pb sauce when I didn’t ask for that. Oh well. Edited from my original five star review a year ago to one star. Over the last year, the quality of literally everything has gone down. I've gotten cold coffee more times than I can count, watery coffee, and coffee with sour milk. I'm sure the employee must've seen the same clumps floating in it that I did:-(. This is especially interesting because I don't drink milk and always use almond milk. I just make my own at home now. Not taking anymore chances, lol. I've gotten stale donuts a number of times no matter what time I go. They've messed up my sandwich order in so many different ways, it would be amusing if it wasn't for the fact that I'd been going there every single day of the work week. I get bacon and egg, no cheese, on a toasted sesame bagel. They'll add cheese a lot. Not a big deal, they probably assume I want it even though I specifically say no cheese. They don't toast my bagel which I'm not a fan of, and today they handed me a raw bagel with a slice of egg on it. No bacon, not toasted. At least they didn't also throw on a congealed slice of cheese, lol. Well, I'd only been going for the sheer convenience as it was on my route but there are other places. Or I'm making my own and saving money. I totally get that I'm one person and dunkin donuts as a corporation doesn't care about just one, and the owner of this site definitely doesn't care about just one. Unfortunately I was a bit rushed when I saw the drive-through at Dunkin Donuts and thought great I can go and make my order very quickly. Unfortunately I was extremely wrong! There was one car ahead of me when I pulled up that was in front of me for at least 10 minutes at the speaker. I assumed maybe they were making a big order and that's what was taking so long. When they finally pulled up to the window it was an additional five minute wait. I then pulled up to the speaker to make my own order. I only took about a minute. I had a very short order. When I pulled up to the window, after waiting for an additional 5 minutes for the people in front of me, the girl at the window had a stupefied look on her face. Sort of like she was surprised to see me pull up for some reason. after sitting there at the window in 85 degree heat for 10 minutes, a different girl came to the window and asked me what I had ordered! I don't know what took them 10 minutes to realize that they had lost my order. I would not exactly highly recommend going through this Dunkin Donuts Drive-thru unless you have some spare time on your hands.
