Dunkin' — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

i ordered custom donuts (glazed with my sons photo printed on them) for his birthday party at school. kudos for that awesome idea. HOWEVER, they never made my order. I placed the order on 5/22 and chose my pick up date as 6/1. i received my confirmation number and order number via email and all seemed well. i called the night before the 1st to make sure everything was good so i’d have a seamless pick up experience the next day. i spoke w a young gentleman who told me “yeah yeah i’m sure we have the order i’ll double check and if i don’t call you back all is well.” when i explained this was very important and can he check while i’m on the phone still he told me they “don’t make the donuts, they are made elsewhere and dropped off there the morning of” and assured me, once again, he’ll call if there’s any issue”. i arrive today, 6/1, my pick up date and time, and they not only don’t have my order but when i showed them my order confirmation they basically shrugged and said they don’t know what happened. i also learned that the kid who told me they don’t make the custom donuts there was wrong. that they do, in fact, make them there once they receive the custom orders. they didn’t even have fresh donuts to choose from to replace my order that wasn’t ready. i ended up having to mix and match crusty, left out donuts to bring to my sons school bday celebration. they did give them to me for free which i did appreciate but their lack of concern or apologies was enough for me to never give them my business ever again. they had a very “oh well, we don’t know what happened” attitude. had they been more apologetic i would’ve been more inclined to give them a second chance. the staff here is clearly not knowledgeable on their products...

I normally love this place, but the service here is horrible and they literally cannot get an order right. Three out of three visits of getting the wrong order. This last visit was four people in line returning because their orders were wrong. The sad part is that they were not even concerned or apologetic about the situation. The closest Dunkin near me, normally very pleased with it. The coffee is usually very good. However, recently, the service has been absolutely terrible extremely slow, rude, and still rush you when you’re trying to order despite slow client traffic. The parking lot is absolutely terrible.
