Go Burger RIDGE — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Bottom Line Up Front - Good food, meh service! This wasn’t my first service issue with them, BTW. This was however, my first time coming in to the restaurant. After all, i don’t usually like paying someone to make something I can do at home just as well. But it was 7 degrees out, so....

We ordered online (two burgers, fries, and two shakes), and the site said your food will be ready in 15 minutes. I get there at about 5 minutes past the time it told me it would be ready (6:34). I initially said I called in the order, but corrected myself and tell them I ordered online. The front staff see my order and say it’ll be ready in a minute. Okay, that’s cool. 5 minutes pass, then 10...15...I finally go to the counter, not so surprised, of what’s happening back there, and they ask the kitchen...blank stares. It wasn’t ready, and likely wasn’t even on the grill. They throw it together and I’m out the door in another 10 minutes or so.

Note: The guy standing beside me had called in an order, and was waiting in the store for 25 minutes...they hadn’t put the order in to the kitchen. They refunded his payment. He was out the door in about 10 minutes after that.

So, as I mentioned before, this wasn’t my first experience with service issues (my wife had similar experiences as well). I visited them when they were in the trailer. I was waiting after ordering, and several people that had come in after me, had gotten their orders. So I ask, what’s the issue. They hadn’t put my order in. Again, decent burger, poor service...I’m beginning to see a trend.

Like I said, the food is good, and that’s the only reason we gave the restaurant a shot. So, it seems the kitchen has their act together, but front of the house may not be holding...

There's nothing like a fresh hot, juicy burger and the burgers are always fresh, hot, and juicy here! Since my initial review from a year ago we've come here every few weeks like clockwork.

Original review: I have had their burgers 3 times now (1 delivery, 2 dine in) and I LOVE this place. I brought my mom because she loves burgers too and now she loves this place too.

The burgers are cooked to order and if you order it medium you actually get medium. (Some places cook the burgers well done no matter how you order them and say it's "for food safety reasons")

The meat is nicely seasoned. Never had a bland burger. They offer 2 burger sizes (6 oz or 12 oz) and a variety of toppings.

The fries are awesome too. While I did get well done fries once, I've never received cold fries. They're always hot and delicious.

Service is good. Everyone is friendly. They notice when you come in and approach the counter to take your order; there's no waiting around for someone to notice you.

And if you ask for a cup of ice water you get one. Need extra ketchup or mayo or dipping sauce? No problem. They're all very nice here!

Oh and prices are reasonable; for 2 people it cost me $20 for 2 burgers and some fries. Good bang for your buck!

We'll definitely be back. Every time we've had their burgers we've enjoyed them thoroughly. Absolutely recommend.

Tables are cleaned regularly and the floor is clean too.

Nice clean bathroom too, which is always a good sign!

The only negative I can think of is the awful scraaaape of the chairs across their floor. (Edit: this has been fixed and dining in is a much more peaceful and pleasant...

At 3:15 today Long Island became a little bit more exciting. My daughter passed her road test.

In celebration of such we asked her where she wanted to go. She decided tonight she wanted to go to @go burger in ridge.

First of all I want to remark how amazingly spotless the kitchen looks. The owner/manager I'm still not sure who it is is ridiculously nice. He makes every visit feel like you are his number one priority. He always greet you with a smile and I swear I remember your name.

The girl child had a double Patty Burger which she said was great. Had onions cheese and pickles on it.

The boy child just got a chicken finger platter. Of course he asked for sides of buffalo sauce devoured them. They look like they were cooked correctly.

The wife had a simple cheeseburger nothing too impressive but she absolutely loved it.

I went for something different and had a Philly cheese steak. I don't put salt on anything so for me this was a little salty but it was still great. I also ordered a loaded tater tot side which was great lots of bacon.

For dessert we all got shakes chocolate and vanilla and strawberry. I know we are very exciting and...
