Sunsets At Senix — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I’ve dined at this place 3 times and have given it multiple chances, but every experience has failed my expectations. Every time I’m at this establishment, the service is INCREDIBLY slow. We would literally be the only group in the restaurant and our drinks still take 15-20 minutes to get to our table. Today was the worst experience yet. Service was slow as usual, and the 5 only other people in the building were at the bar and being extremely noisy. That’s expected, but what I didn’t expect was one of the noisy ones was a worker? She was wearing a tiny crop top that quite literally looked like a napkin, so we assumed she was just another customer, until she walked behind the bar and served us our food? She was drinking and bantering with one of the actual customers at the bar that “she didn’t need a ride home from them”. Her and our server continued to scream, curse and vape by the bar, it was absolutely bizarre. I work in the service industry so I know that sometimes people can have an off day, but this was just the outcome of young teens unsupervised in what’s supposed to be a nice establishment. The girl in the crop top proceeded to have the bartender “taste a drink” behind the bar, meanwhile we were already waiting for our drinks for 10 mins. To top it off, we purposely came today because the website states ladies drink specialty drinks for half off until CLOSE. 15 minutes after asking for our bill, there was no discount on the drinks. We asked the server why and she said “the bartender said the deal was only until 7”. When we explained that the website said until close, she just said “its my first day” and shrugged it off. I told her it was okay because I understood she was new and rather than sitting for another 20 minutes we just decided to pay the full amount and leave as soon as we could. Really sad to leave this review, this place had so much potential to be great but the owner needs to do some serious reevaluating about his staff if he wants to achieve that. It’s not like we were coming to an AppleBee’s and expecting 5 star service, it’s a place that just got renovated and has a fortunate and beautiful location, the service definitely doesn’t...

Called and made a reservation for 4 for Saturday evening. Arrived and was told that we had no reservation. It was unfortunately entered incorrect as a reservation for 4 on Sunday. Ok…… mistakes happen so we said we would sit at the bar and wait for an outside table. 1/2 an hour later the hostess came over and said that they don’t take reservations for outside tables as it’s a first come first served basis only. Ok….. uh, we are here and we are patiently waiting? Just very hard to comprehend the intent of that statement. We just want an outside table when one becomes available. Them 20 minutes later a hostess says they have a table outside and as we are heading to the table a couple of people at the bar grabbed the table as we were being walked out to it. The hostess said “oh well” it’s taken instead of telling the people that the table is not theirs. Ok…. We were then told to wait back at the bar and the 4 stools that we vacated had been taken. Ok….. let’s get out of here and go to a restaurant where they have their act together. So, because of the lack of tasting the food I gave it one star. We will not...
