Food was good except for the skirt steak which does not look like a skirt steak at all. Menu prices didnโt match the prices on our bill. Alcoholic drinks were very weak. Asked for it to be stronger and was charged $21 without being told about an upcharge. I just want a drink that tastes like it has alcohol if Iโm paying for it and not non alcoholic. That left my family and I with a bad taste in our mouth. The food took an hour and a half to two hours to get to us and barely anyone was in the restaurant. It was Motherโs Day and no acknowledgement for Motherโs Day, no specials, no decorations, no apologies for the delay. We never got to see dessert as the menu was never offered to us. Servers took forever to check on us. We had to remind the staff several times of what we wanted such as a steak knife. We had butter knives as steak knives then got small steak knives after asking for steak knives. We are used to normal steak knives and once again had to complain and finally got them. This place needs to hire more cooks in the kitchen and help to last. I am Peruvian and am used to restaurants with high standards, staff that treats you like family and offers...
ย ย ย Read moreMy wife, baby, and I came here for dinner for the first time. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was a blend of casual and classy. The tables were nicely spaced with white paper table cloths that gave the appearance of a formal restaurant, the dining area tastefully decorated, pleasant Latin music playing, and images of Peru on the large TV screen. We were immediately seated and provided with an impressive list of food and beverage options. My wife got the Lomo Saltado, which she gets regularly at Peruvian restaurants. This was one of her favorite lomo saltado dishes she has ever had. I tried a bit of hers and it tasted very good and exactly like what I enjoyed in coastal Peru. I ordered the Bistec a lo Pobre with skirt steak and it was superb. (I would definitely recommend the skirt steak option, as it really made the entree pop.)
I am happy to say I can see why this place has a 4.9, as it was a wonderful night and we will absolutely...
ย ย ย Read moreOk this tucked away peruvian place is worth the ride. Located in the little hamlet of Sound Beach is a gem of a restaurant serving traditional Peruvian food. We got the Bistec a la Pobre (steak served with an egg, rice, fries and plantains) and Pollo Lomo Saltado (a traditional stirfry with strips of chicken with peppers, tomatoes and onions that came with rice and fries). Both were delicious. They serve a wonderful green "hot" sauce that isn't spicy. We also had incredible drinks. A passionfruit pisco for me and a pisco sour for my Fiance. Both a must try. The staff is incredibly nice. The owner came to thank us for coming and they have an extensive drink menu including all kinds of beers, wine, sangria, cocktails and soft drinks. We were too full for dessert but we will definitely be back. Definitely give this place a try. Highly...
