Mama Lisa Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Was so looking forward to trying a new place. Sat and ordered drinks and appetizer. App was not hot. Ordered a pizza each. I ordered a pizza with spinach and eggplant and extra sauce on side. Server did not come to see if we needed anything. Only time he came over was when I caught eye to him.

Meanwhile.... I watched 2 tables get bread before they even ordered and was told the specials on one of the tables. The other table had same server , but they got bread.

Before pizza came .... server came over and said on the pizza the sauce is put on cold and baked in over then hot. How would you like sauce. I said hot on side. When he left... I was like why would I want my extra sauce cold on side to my husband????

Anyway, pizza came. My husband pizza delicious. Mine .... no sauce on pizza. Only spinach and egg plant. At least I thought there was some eggplant .server finally came over and I told him I asked extra sauce on side . He said he misunderstood. I asked for more sauce. Hello. Why didn't he say I'm sorry I'll go put this in again or try to fix his mistake.

I was a server and I always admitted when I made a mistake, but I also always tried to fix it. He made me feel like he really didn't care and oh well. Nothing I can do. In the meantime, he took his time checking on us. And mushroom app was cold and pizza was not hot. He had no problem putting pizza in box and bringing check right away. Very disappointed. We didn't give him a 20% tip, but he should still be thankful we gave him a $10 tip. Bill was $80. Normally we overgive on tip but it was so disappointing because he didn't admit to to fact that he was wrong. My pizza. And then husbands pizza. He couldn't eat mine. Not taste. His was delicious. So...

This is by far the best Pizza we have ever eaten. We live all the way in Bluepoint and travel at least once a week because the food is that good.. Its not only the pizza that is appealing, My favorite is the Chicken Panni which includes Chicken breast marianted in its own sauce, mozz, roasted red peppers, with tomatoes all in the oven. My husband loves the variety of the dinners he eats anything from chicken parm to Spagetti and Meatballs, His favorite dish there is the Chicken Franchise. IT IS THE BEST!!! MY boys love the pizza and garlic knots served with sauce so they can dip it in.. The best food by far... To add to it the service is wonderful. I cant express how many times all the workers went above and beyond to say hello and make us feel at home. One time it was my husband and i anniversary, it was our 17th year being together and one of the owners came up to me and gave me a rose and said it was from my husband. CLearly later my husband told me the truth and said it wasnt from him.. That is the enviroment you enter when you walk in there.. They are always looking to make you smile and go above and beyond for the service and the food. I promise you i am just angreat loyal customer. I dont know anyone there personally nor do i know them outside of there. I assure you its worth the drive Just go once and youll be hooked. TRY THE CHICKEN PANNI'S youll thank me for...

I've been a Pizza take out customer of Mama Lisa's for about 4-5+ years now ordering take out once a month for a night in with the wife. When I first moved into shirley I shopped around a bit and chose Mama Lisa's as the best. Unfortunately, it might be time to shop around again. Our last three orders, this most recent one being today have all been less than satisfactory. Today we picked up our pizza, garlic knots, zeppoles, and fried calamari. The pizza was completely burnt upon the bottom which seems to be the new norm as per our last three orders all being burnt on the bottom except this time it was pretty much inedible. What made the order a complete bust was the zeppoles and fried calamari. Our fried calamari was an odd mixture of excessively chewy pieces seeming to be overcooked with other pieces being very soggy and seemingly undercooked and oily leading us to think we got leftover calamari mixed in with newer pieces and immediately threw out the dish. Lastly, my favorite, the zeppoles. Once again, unfortunately were a bust today. 4 out of our 6 zeppoles were raw dough in the center while the other 2 were just barely passable of being cooked through. Honestly, the only part of our order today that was edible were the garlic knots and marinara sauce except by that point we'd just lost...
