Priscos Gourmet — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I was inside waiting for my order. I smelled smoke and noticed 2 people sitting in the chairs and smoking cigarettes at the front door. I saw a woman carrying and bustling child through the smoke to get to her car.

I asked a worker if the deli had a policy and if they were okay with people/customers sitting at the chairs smoking cigarettes at the front door. I mentioned the woman with baby and my having to walk through the smoke to exit. She shrugged with facial expression and shaked her head, presumably meaning "no policy that she's aware of."

I tell worker, "This is my last time coming here because now I know that I can be subjected to cigarette smoke. She apologised, which was nice but means nothing because I still have to deal with the smoke to leave.

I exit and grace my lungs with some cigarette smoke. I tell smokers, "I'm not coming to this deli any more because of your smoking here and my having to wade through your smoke."

The male smoker retorted, "We have to breathe...

I used them for my daughters party this past Sunday. My wife did the order of a hero and a olive tray. Picked it up Sunday was supposed to be ready by 1230 I got there maybe 1245. They told me would be ready in 5 minutes. They gave me two trays of hero and a bag and said that's everything I said ok. My wife calls them they give her a attitude tell her that Steve will call her back. I call they tell me he won't be in today. I got a phone call this morning and call back guy is out again. I feel like it's playing phone tag to get my money back from this place. I'm a volunteer for mastic and I'm sure we use this place for our meetings. I think I'm gonna tell them to find a new place seeing how this place operates. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Go elsewhere for your hero's and sandwiches. The owner will not try to make things right and will play phone tag with you. Something so simple should...

Looking from the main road and driving by you probably would never know that this deli existed. The signage is not particularly attractive ,with basic lettering that wouldn't draw you in the plaza from driving by. That would be the mistake for most people considering that this is the deli everyone should know about. The food is great and the service even on the busiest mornings is quick. There are always at least 2 people working the front to keep the lines moving and food always comes out within 3 to r 6 minutes depending on what you order.They also have a customer rewards style program in which they stamp a lunch or breakfast card (depending on what you order) and once your card is filled you receive a free sandwich.There is a variety of salads to choose from in which from what i have ordered all taste good.
