If you're looking for phenomenal Mediterranean food, Mezze Mediterranean Grill in East Setauket is an absolute gem that should not be missed! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff, and the fast, efficient service set the tone for an unforgettable meal.

We started with the cold appetizer platter, which was nothing short of incredible. The hummus was velvety smooth, perfectly balanced in flavor, while the baba ganoush had a smoky richness that paired wonderfully with the pita. The pink sultan and eggplant salad were refreshing and full of vibrant flavors, offering a great variety to kick things off.

The hot appetizers were equally impressive. The grilled wings were perfectly charred, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside — definitely one of the best we’ve had in a while. The falafel was another highlight, crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and bursting with authenticity.

For the main course, we tried the mixed grill platter, and it was absolutely divine. The Adana and kofte were cooked to perfection — juicy, tender, and packed with bold flavors. Every bite was a joy. The meats were complemented by a side of rice that was light, fluffy, and seasoned just right. We also tried the gyro wrap, which was packed with flavor and wrapped in an authentic Turkish flatbread that was soft yet sturdy enough to hold all the delicious fillings.

Displeased and often disappointed with the selection of Turkish restaurants on Middle Country Road, I decided to search Google for anything new that was relatively close by. Mezze Mediterranean Grill popped up with some excellent reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! The gentleman behind the counter, John, went over the menu with me and answered all my questions regarding meat preparation, drink options, and even gave me a sizable sample of 2 dips I wanted to try. I was impressed not only with the food, but also his professionalism and attention to detail in answering all my questions. I could tell that he wanted to work for my business and keep me coming back. He made me feel valued as a customer. The atmosphere was welcoming and accommodating, and the restaurant was very clean, in fact, spotless. I was impressed.

As for the food, it was delicious. I ordered Mix Grill over bulgur with a salad. I was not disappointed! I could tell all the meat was freshly prepared and not previously frozen. The preparation was spot on! All the meats were tender and flavorful! As for the bulgur, I like mine tender with minimal spices and minimal sauce; it worked for me, and the side salad was excellent! Had an incredible meal at this unassuming new Turkish takeout spot. We kicked things off with two standout dips — the cacık, a creamy, garlicky yogurt dip reminiscent of tzatziki, and the Pink Sultan, a vibrant beet dip that was both visually stunning and delicious. The hummus was silky smooth, and the Philly spinach and feta spring rolls were perfectly crispy, packed with flavor. Honestly, I could’ve made a meal out of just the dips alone.
