Old Dock Grill — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Every time I come here I wish I lived closer! I come here occasionally for lunch when I visit customers in this area and it’s one of the best delis I’ve ever been to. There is a big menu with a lot of great choices and creative sandwiches and the food has been excellent every time I’ve come here!

On top of that, this place is like the Cheers of delis. There must be a lot of local businesses and the “regulars” come in and the deli workers all know them by name and know their orders and it has a real nice family and friendly feel to it. Today I forgot to ask for my sandwich to be hot so I asked the guy behind the counter to microwave it and he instead took it to the grill in the back because he didn’t want to ruin a good sandwich by microwaving it. They have recently become so high priced, also they charge for every single thing, if you get a Philly Cheese steak I don not think you should be charged for items that are already on the sandwich to make that said sandwich. If I get an Old Dock Cheeseburger, I don't think you should charge for the cheese that you should already put on it, seeing it's already under OLD DOCK CHEESEBURER. Also, you shouldn't say & FRENCH FRIES if you have to pay extra for it. Plus, I feel like I ask for condiment when I place the order and it shows on the receipt yet not in the bag. Nice people, and friendly staff. I started coming here for lunch about four years ago and the food was much better before. Lately the soups have been salty with no other flavor. I ordered a breakfast sandwich last week and the eggs were barely cooked plus I had to wait about 20 minutes to get my undercooked egg sandwich. I did call but I was left on hold and I hung up after about 5 minutes. Not a good impression.
