Peter's on the Green — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Peter’s on the Green is a little hidden gem at the Bellport Country Club. My review is based on my wine which tasted a bit sour but this is coming from someone that is hard to please LOL. My sibling and I visited at the end of November 2023 for an afternoon lunch on a Saturday. Our meals came with a salad, mine was Greek and it was delicious. My brother got a chicken dino and I ordered an Uncle Peter (chicken, cheese, pasta…) and we shared a yummy dessert. We both took leftovers home and enjoyed them at a later time. We asked for another 2 minutes before we ordered. Waitress disappeared for 15 minutes. (I was looking at the clock) It wasn’t that busy. Virtually no one inside. We asked another waitress if we could give her our order. My husband ordered salmon Florentine, and the English muffin was so hard, it was inedible. He couldn’t bite through it. Never send out a burnt English muffin! He sent it back. 15 minutes later, when my son and I were done with breakfast, his order came out. We wanted to eat together. We ordered breakfast under the veranda with tables safely placed. Our waitress knew children so all awaited us. The fresh berries were scrumptious as determined by the connoisseur of good taste - our 17month old who devoured half his dollar pancakes and our bowls of fresh fruit.
