J J's Texas Hots — Restaurant in Town of Cheektowaga

I had never been here but decided to get take-out for lunch as it is near my office. Sign on the window: No credit cards or debit cards accepted, (but they have an ATM for a $1.95 fee). Everybody in the restaurant apparently worked there (though they were sitting at booths eating. One woman was wearing slippers) The lady at the counter took a personal call while cashing me out and the conversatin continued as I waited for my take-out. It was an extremely personal conversation that made me uncomfortable to have to hear. She could have at least taken the call to the back room. I was very anxious to get my food and leave. The beverage cups were completely filled with ice and lasted about 2 sips. The hot dogs were the smallest I've ever had from a restaurant. I had to open the buns to confirm there even were hot dogs in them. I'm not sure what qualifies as "Texas Hots" but these were tiny hot dogs like I would but from the cooler at a supermarket and they showed no sign of having been on a grill. On my first visit I though this is a small kind of old dinner feel. Staff was extremely kind and they joked with the customer. Ordered the Texas hots with everything. It was about the best I have ever had in this area. As my group ate I noticed people coming in to eat or doing take out. 90% of them had to be regulars as the cashier seated them she would ask same as last time or looking for something different today. Some people came in and she would just bring them food out 5 minutes after sitting down. It was like an episode of Cheers. I usually take a photo to add on here, but it was eaten before I got a chance to do it. Just moved to the area and I was out running some errands. This place is on the way back to the house and it was lunchtime, so I got a red hot with cheese to go, onion rings and a milkshake. Everyone was very polite and the food was delicious.
