So I've had take-out delivered from here before and it was pretty good. We decided to go there and give it a try. Most bar and grill sceneries have a family friendly vibe so with it being our first time going there, we just assumed it would be like most places we've been too that claim to be a bar and grill (Tully's, Chili's, Fireside, etc). Upon walking in, we walked through a patio door which lead to the bar area, again, we didn't know the layout. We went to walk around the bar to find the dining area and this man sitting at the bar as if he's eating, goes "IDs" in a very stern voice. Confused, we are like.. to eat? We are looking to dine in. I finally noticed he was security. He stands up in an intimidating manor in front of my daughter and he again says "IDs". I explained that my daughter was 13 and wouldn't have one, as we weren't there to drink. He looks at his watch and says "She has an hour. Now hand me your IDs" I asked if they had a lot of issues there to where hard security was necessary to which he looks me bold in the face and says "NO. WE JUST DON'T CONDONE UNDERAGE DRINKING" He has my very confused child hold out her hands and marks her with an X as if we were at a damn night club. At this point I was super uncomfortable. My daughter looked very uncomfortable and I told my bf that it may be best if we leave. I understand that some places like that may need some sort of security for instances like that and we now know that it isn't the best place to bring a child but there are ways to approach people. He could have asked if we had intended on drinking and nicely explained that IDs are required in case adult beverages were to be purchased due to past issues with underage drinking.. or anything other than the night club interrogation we had gone through. I don't typically leave reviews but this seemed like it needed to be addressed for other people who may make the same...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hate leaving bad reviews. I prefer only leaving good ones and hope that maybe I just caught the place or staff on a bad day. However, I think it's more in the spirit of Google Reviews and beneficial to potential new customers that I give an honest review. I went here to try their burger that placed 4th in the NY State competition...the After Math Burger. It was good, no doubt , but I would not go crazy and say 4th in the state (I've definitely had better). So, my part of the night was good...but my wife's was horrible. She ordered the salad special for the night...Steak Salad (crumbly bleu, roasted red peppers, sauteed mushrooms, onions straws...as advertised on their board in the restaurant and on Facebook)...it was given to her with ONLY lettuce and steak (after a 45 min wait!)...NO red peppers, NO mushrooms, NO blue cheese, NO onion straws. My wife talked to the waitress and had to show her the board to show her all the ingredients that were missing. She said OK, and came back 10 minutes later and said they had NO mushrooms to give, NO peppers to give and gave my wife little bowls of onion straws and extra steak (proper service would have taken the plate back, considering that more than half of the ingredients were missing, and prepared the salad as advertised). 10 minutes later, and after a second request, the waitress brought her the blue cheese in a little cup. At that point my wife had eaten half the lettuce (which was not the best) and all the steak. The waitress asked if we wanted a box, but we declined (what to take half the so/so lettuce home?). To be fair, the waitress then said that she would take the salad off the bill, but we declined because my wife did eat the steak and half the salad). So, not a good experience. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. We will not be back. Maybe it was just a bad night and you will have better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFriendly clean neighborhood bar atmosphere. Owners introduced themselves. Servers are pleasant. Patrons are friendly too, and the place hosts a bike night on Thursdays. They are biker friendly. There are various Harley signs on the walls, along with beer advertisements. There's a dart machine, entertainment and activities various nights. The bar food is average to good. My husband loves their version of a trash plate. Fish Fry is decent. We had it during Lent. I did not see any highchairs, nor have I seen small children here. Mainly 21 years old up to 65+ I had 10 of the bone in wings and two tall house margaritas. The skin was soft versus crispy but tasted ok and was cooked through. I had 5 boss sauce and 5 garlic parm. The building is small and crowded during happy hour and on weekends so it's noisy. All tables are high tables with tall wood chairs. There is an outside door out back that you can get a wheelchair through. The main entrance has steps and no ramp. Smoking seems to be right out the back door and at the main entrance, where there's a picnic table on the patio and a butt can. All in all, it's quaint, well managed, and they will go out of their way to make sure...
