Now, this is a classic Chinese take-out establishment you see depicted in the media. Not particularly decorated, lit up menu signs that looks washed out, and I assume it's family run business. You can always expect at least a decent food at a good price from places like this, though it being food, personal preferences may heavily vary individual experiences. Lady working there were very kind and attentive, nonetheless, which I always appreciate.
Talking about food, I ordered three dishes Gen. Tso, Dragon and Pheonix (mix of shrimp and Gen. Tso's chicken), and Sechuan beef. Their sauce was decent. A bit overly salty/sour to my taste, but for any people with an occupation of physical labor those kind of seasoning would come as delightful. On the other hand, their chicken seemed rather overcooked. It wasn't as tough as what I had from different establishment in a similar area, but nonetheless it was rather closer to being sub-par. Some of the beef seemed to have tough sinew attached to it, although the rest were very soft and tasty; it was kinda mixed bag of quality. Another thing is the broccoli had somewhat noticeable vinegar taste to it like it had been pickled. It was by no means unpleasant, but it wasn't feeling that fresh, nonetheless. Sechuan beef had pleasant level of spiciness overall, but the sauce itself had quite the kick to it; be careful when you mix it with the rice.
Very decent food. Good pricing. Nothing over the top. Good enough establishment for a Chinese dish.
P.s. congrats on your...
Read moreAlthough I found many good reviews online, I am disappointed to feel much differently. We ordered the general tso with pork fried rice and sesame chicken with lo mein and egg rolls. Of the two I would say the sesame sauce was more edible than the general tsos. The general tsos was very bland in comparison to any other place I have had it from and what taste was there I found to be odd and unenjoyable. The chicken was mush and soggy. Rice and lo mein were not flavorful either and were only tolerated by adding several soy packets to provide something to taste and make worth eating. This is something I typically find not necessarily to do when the quality and taste are on point. My son would not even eat his meal after having one bite and he’s an avid sesame chicken/lo mein eater. I won’t be returning to try other plates from this restaurant nor will the left overs be eaten as they always do when ordering from other preferred places that were closed today. I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t recommend at all. Service was typical of such establishment and fast as also experienced in such establishments but otherwise that’s all I can account for in some light...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about this place. Their food is so good, I find myself trying more unfamiliar meals because I'm more confident I'll like it, whatever it is. I've never had a bad thing here, and everything I've tried is better than anywhere else. I also like they don't drown things in soy sauce. They're getting popular, and it's just 2 of them in there, so hopefully someone doesn't order a dozen meals for people at work when you go in, but their customer service is top notch, and the quality of the food makes it worth any wait or any distance you have to travel to get there. One time I was there, an entire Chinese family actually went up to the owners to compliment their food. They are...
