Local Pizza And Catering — Restaurant in Town of Clarence

This review is being written after my third time having had food from Local over a period of several weeks. First two times were “eat-in” in their small dining area (the beef sub was super messy to eat, delicious, and excellent, and their pizza special from “the wheel of death warming oven” (two slices and soda) was also surprisingly VERY fresh and satisfying. Super friendly staff. Had the opportunity to express my satisfaction to Pete who I came to learn is the owner. This most recent order was takeout and ordered over the phone. Order was taken by Breanna who comes across as unbelievably pleasant and thorough on the phone. Upon pickup, my initial impression of her was once again confirmed. Order (large pizza and wings) was ready on time and both were cooked perfectly. Pizza was moist and flavorful and their sauce is delicious. Wings were juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside even after the ten minute ride home. Prices are not inexpensive but it it clear that quality ingredients are being used. Finally a business in a building that is in a convenient location and that over many years has sat idle too frequently. Best of luck to Local for what deservedly should be a long successful run. Stopped by for a slice and a menu. The pizza was hot and ready at 11:15! I like my pizza saucy, I can always ask for that when I order a pizza. The pepperoni was very tasty. Nice thicker slices. The dough and cheese were also very good. The staff was real nice. I want to try the steak sandwich next.

Went back to get the steak sandwich. OMG, amazing flavor. I got garlic aioli on it instead of the bbq aioli. The steak looked burnt, but was cooked and seasoned beautifully. I will definitely get this again. Hubby had a chicken finger sub. He said it was ok. I think he was eyeing up my meal!

Next time we're going to try the wings.

Had to edit, when local first opened the food was good. You got a reasonable amount of meat on your sub or sandwich. We bought a stinger sub, 2 bucks off and it was still almost 15 bucks. Ordered for the first time last night we got a cheese & pepperoni pizza with garlic crust in 10 medium wings, 10 barbecue Cajun. It was overall OK. The wings were the best part while this for some reason do not grill bbq wings unless you pay for it the flavor was decent. The medium wings were crispy. The pizza was a no go. Needed to be cooked longer as it was doughy the sauce was lacking seasoning the cheese didn’t melt right like a cheap blend was used and the pepperoni was not cup and char or at least not all of it. Some seemed to maybe be and others were ultra thin or oblong shaped. Overall pizza would be a pass in the future. I’d go back for wings and...
