The best pub food in the Hudson Valley. Full stop. The folks here led by their owner, Nicole, an experienced restaurateur from downstate does it right. Here for Thursday night steak night. The ‘14oz’ hand cut rib eye put a dent in the bar when it landed in front of of me at a full pound. Expertly seasoned and a perfect medium rare. The same steak in Manhattan would be $100+. No issue changing out the starch on the plate for greens. Nice vinaigrette and a big plate, not some tiny bowl of limp greens - a proper salad. Good range of suds. Enjoyed a Frog Alley Porter. Waiting on a piece of apple crumb pie baked by their free lance baker a CIA grad who also apparently does jam. Super friendly team from the kitchen to the floor. My husband and I visited The Pub last night and had a fantastic experience. We had the best crispy wings with delicious homemade blue cheese, a killer Caesar salad, and yummy brats with homemade potato pancakes. Then finished it off with their ice cream special, big fat belly, that had chocolate coated potato chips! Yummy is an understatement. Aside from amazing food, the place has undergone such a transformation. Lovely bar seating, indoor tables, and outdoor seating. Plus the local community atmosphere was so welcoming and fun. Owners, Matt & Nicole are amazing! Nicole, whether it be a coupla months, wow, she actually remembers me? By name? And she’s right there to greet me. Same w/Emily, Pub’s bartender, best cocktails you’ll have! Shannon, many times, our/my server, again, 5 stars! The Pub has fantastic specials, from an already stellar menu!
