Pretty good, but pretty expensive.
Ordered ahead over the phone, going with The Charleston and the SS Calamari. Total came to roughly a bit over $35 before tip, which was pretty pricy for just two menu items, especially for the calamari clocking in at over $15 and an up charge on any side aside from chips with the Charleston. (which is a chicken wrap with bacon, honey mustard, tomato and lettuce though I had the tomato held)
Amusingly almost got my meal for free as the waitress thought I had ordered through the online system, and luckily for her I corrected her misunderstanding and paid for it as I should. But they might want to be a bit better about that, might not be so lucky the guy next time won't just waltz out the door with a free dinner.
But was the taste worth the price? Well, yes and no. The wrap was good, but nothing amazing or shocking. The onion rings were alright, good flavor, but just a tad underwhelming. I think they needed more of a crunch. And the calamari, well it needed a bit longer in the fryer for sure, a little doughy to me, but boy was that sauce they included so interesting! It heavily reminded me of mincemeat. Not a flavor I'd though I'd have on fried octopus, but it worked.
So yeah, pretty pricy. I mean, this is a pub, the price should be far more reasonable for the appetizers since that's most of what your bar goers will order. But what I got was pretty good, some minor complaints, but nothing that made me...

The menu is varied enough that you can have traditional "pub food", something healthier like a salad, or a full entree dinner.
The selections of wine and beer are excellent, and have kept pace over the years as tastes have changed.
But I would be remiss if I didn't mention the service, which has always been outstanding, and one of the servers in particular, Tracey, who frequently takes care of us. She is always knowledgeable about specials, and quick to follow up after the meal is served, to assure everything is to our liking, and that drinks are freshened if needed.
We understand that the business is changing ownership, as it has done a few times since we returned to Clifton Park in 1990, which is understandable. New owners typically have new ideas, which can be good, but we hope that they recognize the patrons who are "regulars", and why they keep coming back week after week, month after month, year after year, (and in our case, decade after decade) and that they consciously keep many things that are tried and true on the menu, and the staff, who are all hard working and make everyone...
Read morei’m a waitress so I know how it is... but you gotta fake it till you make it. especially if you’re splitting tips at the end of the night you are just screwing over your coworkers. i’ve had the same waitress my last two trips (about a month apart) and both times i’ve had the same waitress and she was nothing but rude and mean. i shouldn't be getting menus literally thrown at me or feel uncomfortable ordering another drink. i watched her interact with the other tables she had on the inside/outside portion of the restaurant and literally just yikes. maybe splitting the tips between workers is keeping her from being respectful. i don’t care if you mess up my order, forget to bring me my drink, or are out of everything i ask for, you’re gonna get at LEAST 20% because its a tough job. but when you’re disrespectful and make me upset i can’t justify that. like i said, I know its tough some days but it seems like everyday. definitely going to lose customers that way, no one likes to pay to feel uncomfortable. happiness and good vibes, spread em :) (i gave four stars because im not upset w the restaurant, just wanna be heard and hope some light is brought...
