Shalimar - Latham — Restaurant in Town of Colonie

First impression was a very outdated, decor, as you enter but I thought since google reviews say 4.1 star rating maybe the food will taste better. However i now am convinced that the reviews are fake. It is NOT authentic Pakistani taste as they claim. We went for the Sunday lunch buffet. Not a single item was even close to palatable. We ended up leaving without eating and when I complained to the manager he said you will still have to pay and gave us a pathetic 10$ guft certificate for a Next time. That next time is never happening. So they know it will not be used anyway. Instead of giving me a discount on the total bill 33$ that I asked for. I asked to speak to the owner he didnt let me and just said call at this restaurant same time tomorrow. The drinks they offer with the buffet are also diluted and given in a paper cup. Very petty, even a roadside food truck has better service.. Chicken biryani hardly had a few chunks of chicken in it. Overall highly disappointing food that didnt even taste like it was...

This was our first time here. Super cheap lunch buffet($8.99!) The food was quite good. I will say many of the buffet items were not labeled correctly(some obviously, some not.) and I ended up with a chunk of meat in a dish that appeared to be vegetarian by placement and label. Also, I saw no naan at all, which was weird. The veggie pakora was delightful as was the spicy spinach/garbanzo bean dish. My dad said the tandoori chicken was lackluster but the chile chicken was delicious. I also had chai and kheer which were both good. We got there a bit after 11:30 which was good timing because people started pouring in the door(and having to wait for tables) around noon. My Husband And I Went Here For The First Time Today. Service Was Awful. We Were The Only Customers There. We Made Our Plates Sat Down To Eat The Food Was Awful I Told My Husband To Just Pay The Bill So We Can Leave We Weren't There More Then 5 Minutes! I Couldnt Eat Anything ! I Chewed And Had To Spit In A Napkin. The Chicken I Had Was So Hard And Completely Dry! And I Only Spit It In A Napkin Because No One Was Around.I Would Never Do That In Their Face!
