On 12/29/2024. My friend and I were racially profiled. We ordered a meal which was not prepared correctly . I asked the waiter to take it back and ask the cook to cook the meat more because it was not done . I could not chew it . The meat was very tuff and rubbery. I then asked the waiter for the Manager. The Manager comes over to the table, I explain my situation to the Manager. The Manager tells me that he will not make me pay for this one but you will have to pay if you want another one. I then ask him to change my order from beef to chicken thinking it would be better . When he brought out the food I tasted the chicken and did not like that either. I decided that the food just was not good for me I called the waiter over who also had poor customer service to ask the Manager to come back. The waiter and the Manager started speaking Spanish to one another and the other crew that was working in the restaurant. The waiter comes to the table and says, “ You have to pay for your food or they gonna make me pay because we have to throw out the food .” I do not understand what me saying the food was not good has anything yo do with paying for the food . The Manager then comes to the table and says you have to pay for your meal or you are going to be banned from my restaurant . First of all the Manager does not own the restaurant. How are you banning someone from a restaurant? We never said anything about not paying for the meal you just assumed because we did not like the food we could not pay ? The Manager was then talking in Spanish again to employees in the restaurant. We could not get an answer from the Manager . I went to the front of the restaurant to ask the Hostess . As the hostess was about to give me the information about the owner , the Manager started speaking in Spanish and hostess got an attitude . She has no idea of what had transpired . I asked her for the owner’s name and she gave me her first name. I then said , “ Does she have a last name ? She said , “ Yes but I am not giving it to you she is going to believe what we said because you are causing a scene. I asked her how am I causing a a scene by asking for the owner . The Manager then says he is going to call the police on us but for what ? They all were speaking in Spanish. We left the restaurant because we did not want problems. We never said we would not pay but I know that as a Manager he could have handled this situation better. I am going to give the owner time to reply. I asking that no African Americans no longer patronize this restaurant. We will be contacting all organizations to talk about how we were racially profiled at this restaurant and threatened with calling the police when nothing criminal...

I had an experience so frustrating I decided the rude staff wasn't worth going anymore. I placed a takeout order and when I arrived it was already sitting at the front desk (usually they go get it after I pay) I thought nothing of it, paid and left. When I get back and unwrap it, it’s clearly not my order inside; not even close. I immediately call to try and understand how this simple order (Lunch Special #3) was mistaken. She offers no explanation and I tell her I’ll be right back to get my correct order and if she could start it now (I only have a 30 minute lunch break so time is of the essence). When I arrive she takes the wrong order, gives it to someone THEN orders what I had been looking for without a word to me. Absolutely no remorse or apology for her screw up that cost me my lunch. I finally get back and unwrap the order to find thrown together food all over in the bag. Half the incorrect order was in the bag with what I kind of ordered (I asked for a burrito and got an enchilada instead. Thank goodness I love both), but not before noticing the final nail in the coffin of never going back: this very disgusting used plastic fork. You can’t be serious, El Charro. Mistakes happen and I get that, but to make me feel like the bad guy for standing up for my terrible order was totally unacceptable.
