I first went to Seoul about 2 years ago and I've been dreaming about it ever since and finally got back there last week. It was everything I remembered and more. I went for lunch so I got seated right away and it was quiet which I enjoyed for a solo meal. I was given the complimentary appetizers. I quickly finished the kimchi and was offered more by my waiter which I appreciated. There's quite a few dumpling options on the appetizer menu so I asked for a recommendation from the waiter and settled on the meat dumplings. They were so good!! Crispy on the outside and the dough wasn't too thick which I sometimes find with Chinese dumplings. I then had the yuk gae jang soup which was amazing! I was able to specify my spice level (I picked 5 out of 10) and it definitely had the kick I was looking for. It was only $10.95 during lunch hours. I'm already planning my next trip back. Highly recommended!!

Great prices for no frills home-style Korean food near Albany. Menu is a simple two page offering with the basics that they aim to do well - nothing over done and doesn’t try to be anything else but good clean Korean food. Flavors are accurate. I had one minor issue: I saw Kalbi pictures on the menu but not on the menu itself. Not a big deal. Our waitress was super sweet though, and perfectly bilingual. And the owner was very hospitable and came out to greet us as we ate. I would definitely come back. We had bone soup, spicy pork, bulgogi, bibimbap and cold noodles. Again, flavors were accurate, which is important for authentic Korean food!

This was the second time at this restaurant. We really enjoyed the first time, food was fresh and tasty and the service was great. This time it was not as good. We were with a party of 10, which does present it's own challenges. One good point is that they automatically separated the bills - we did not even have to ask. That makes paying much easier.

Some areas where there is a need for improvement: service was lacking. drinks were not refilled and condiment plates also were emptied and not refilled without asking. In my diner order the plate was piled high with noodles, but the beef and fish cakes in the description were lacking.

One area of concern - my wife was given the wrong entree. Rather than make a stink about it, she decided to eat it anyway, although it was not what she ordered. After she had taken a few bites the server came and said that the plate belonged to another party at our table and she wanted to take it. We explained that she had already eaten from it, but the waitress did not seem to get the point. In the end my wife kept the plate and was charged for that dinner and also for the dinner she originally ordered - so she had to pay for two dinners and they packaged the second dinner for her to take home. We didn't complain, but that is not proper customer service.since it was their mistake that caused...

I tried to complain about this on the phone but couldn’t due to the language barrier. They told me I can just complain through grub hub and I’ll get my money back. Terrible way to handle the complaint. I ordered a takeout today, sukju daeji bokkum but there was absolutely little to no sprouts in it and the portion seems to be getting smaller and smaller everytime. I have frequently ordered lunch/dinner from this place but never had anyone telling me I need to pay additional money for extra kimchi and cucumber until when I stopped in to pick up the order tonight. I am not asking for a jug of kimchi or cucumbers if I wanted to I can purchase them from the market. I noticed they also made a whole different section in the restaurant for selling kimchi and all the other stuff for way over priced compared to what you would pay at the market. It doesn’t make any sense for them to ask for more money for substituting broccoli to extra kimchi or cucumbers. Do you charge money for extra kimchi even for eat in??? I feel like you guys are cheaping out on small side dishes. Every time I order food from this place is easy $30 for one freaking meal. Terrible management and terrible customer service. I will not be getting food...

I used to love this place, but this most recent experience has disappointed me a lot. The food and service have gone downhill for sure. The tteokbokki (we ordered mild) seemed to be a watered down version of the medium/hot version. The osam bulgogi barely had any squid, and the vegetables were undercooked. The bulgogi lacked sauce and was dry. The chicken fried rice was bland and was served to us without chicken. We brought this up to the server and the extra $3 for the chicken was not taken off the bill. Dolsot bibimbap and chicken mandoo were very good.

On top of this, we waited for at least 20 minutes for the rice to be served to us after the bulgogi dishes arrived at the table. We had practically finished our entrees by the time the rice arrived.

I understand that mistakes happen, but the service did not make amends for the errors. On top of this, the food was disappointing. It is clear there has been some unfortunate changes to the restaurant. It’s a real shame because I used to love this place. I hope to see improvements...
