Hyde's Diner — Restaurant in Town of Cortlandville

I just had a delightful dining experience at Hydes Diner in Cortland/Homer. It was very busy but we got seated right away. Grace, our server was so friendly and fast. She explained that her grandmother was the owner and cook and her aunts were the manager and waitresses. A family business. I had a senior breakfast of 1 egg 1 pancake and 2 slices on bacon, and I was very happy that had sugar from syrup. Hubby had 2 eggs 2 sausage real home fries and toast. The bill came to $15.66. The food came out very fast, hot and cooked perfectly. We were on the road and just stopped there by chance but we will definitely plan to go back...

Today was the worst time I ever had at Hyde's Diner. The waitress was stone off her mind or something. She could talk. She never came for 10-20 mins to take our order and she messed up the order. We still had to pay for the whole thing. My BF didn't even eat his bc . It was the wrong order. The whole time the waitress ignores us . She got the people drinks and food way before us when we where there 15 mins before then. I wanted another drink but couldn't .. never going there again. The worst time ever. Nothing got fix not even his order but they made him pay for it...

I have always been one to visit Hyde’s even when they were by the hospital, their quality of food and service has always been exceptional but moving to this new location has really set the bar kudos to you guys at Hydes so whether you are a local, visiting or just passing through make sure you guys stop here at this diner, new location, much larger and still incredible. This is a must visit. The food and atmosphere is crisp and refreshing and plenty of parking and you can even catch a movie afterwards at the movie theater hope to meet you there....
