Drumlins — Restaurant in Town of De Witt

Pretty but pricey. My company had a farewell party/retirement party for one of the owners and although I and many others enjoyed ourselves, I feel like there's room for improvement. Firstly, the outdoor lighting is horrible. My coworkers had such a hard time locating the place. They should have bigger signs and more lights to make it much clearer to people driving that this is the right place. Anyways, the banquet room was nicely set up and comfortable with plenty of seating, which was nice because we were a large group. The food left much to be desired. It was a buffet style set up with a bowtie and marinara sauce, salad, chicken stuffed with spinach and something else (which was dry and just not good) a vegetable medley and maybe one or two other things with soup. The only redeeming food was the steak, it was cooked beautifully and seasoned perfectly. They kept up with the flow of things and I didn't notice anyone waiting for any extended period of time for fresh food, so that was nice. They also had a drink and dessert stand with sodas, brownies and cookies that were good. My husband LOVED that, he's a sweet tooth monster! Adult drinks were super expensive. Two glasses of basic wine came to $20 (tip included) So that kinda stunk. Anyways, basically we had a good time, but I know a lot of us felt they could improve quite a few things. But hey that's...

My cousin had his wedding here as well as the reception. It was all organized and set up extremely well. The outside of the place in back is very nice looking. A small golf putting green and about a good acre or two of open grass area possibly more. We didn't have any of it outside though. It was all inside in the ballroom. The servers were all friendly and spot on with everything quickly picking up and taking away any plates or cups people had finished and put down. The food was exceptional. The room was well decorated, arranged, and lit nicly. Basically everything about this place was great. I hear it used to be the place to be years back and it's aged well. I can't recommend this place enough for parties, gatherings, or whatever you could possibly need a huge room dining...

So it was supposed to be 50 degrees and sunny ... however it was quite the contrary LOL more like 38 with no sunshine to speak of accompanied by a lovely gale force arctic wind ... that all aside, the place is wonderful and one of my favorite places to golf. Plan on using every club in the ol' bag and golf till your hearts content, you pay one fee and can golf all day going around and around ... 25 bucks, as many rounds as ya want and a fine cart to boot ?! ...Sign me up for a slice of heaven !
