Cafe Kubal Colvin St — Restaurant in City of Syracuse

Decided to try this place out today on my morning walk. I have been wanting a matcha latte all week and decided to satisfy the craving today. I had a medium ice matcha latte with almond milk, brown sugar syrup and sweet cream foam. Matcha flavor was great not too overpowering. I would have like my drink a little sweeter but that was probably my fault. I didn’t say how many pumps of brown sugar. I love the aesthetic of the place and its very quiet, also as soon as I walked in someone took my order. I think it’s a nice place for a coffee date. I would most likely try this place again but will not make it a habit because it is costly but I’m not really shocked about the price due to all the inflation. This place has become one of my favorite cafes. I have been to many Cafe Kubal locations, but this one stands out as my favorite.

In particular, their breakfast sandwich is the best I’ve ever tried. Although its taste can vary slightly depending on which staff member prepares it, it remains consistently outstanding. I get my breakfast sandwich 3 to 4 times a week :)

All the staff members are very kind and welcoming, which adds to the positive experience.

The outside patio is currently under construction, and once it’s completed, I believe it will enhance the overall atmosphere even more.

Bought all 3 paninis for lunch carry out at the Colvin St. shop. The best that can be said for the turkey and pulled pork is ‘slightly flavored bread with hardly any filling.’ The grilled cheese doesn’t deserve the name…it was pretty much just bread with maybe one slice of cheese and no evidence of the roasted tomato or radicchio jam. All of them were rock hard on one side. Hands down the worst grilled cheese I have ever had. These are $10 sandwiches!! Such a disappointment.
