The Burger Bar by Wegmans — Restaurant in Town of De Witt

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love shopping at Wegmans ...love the atmosphere... tonight was my first night trying the Burger Bar and honestly I was slightly disappointed. My friend that was with me ordered a burger well-done and it ended up being rare in the middle, I do have to say they did compensate her with a free ice cream and granted people make mistakes... I ordered a mushroom burger and was also a bit disappointed that they don't offer swiss cheese only cheddar and American which I just found odd for Wegmans thinking that they would have unlimited toppings?? When I think of a mushroom burger I think of Swiss cheese with that. The burger was very tasty and mine was cooked well done, as I had ordered however, the size of the burger for the price was not what I expected. I may give it another try sometime, but it wasn't what I had expected. I hope this constructive criticism will help improve...

We were here after the lunch rush on a Saturday and it was not a great experience at all. The food took right around 15 minutes to arrive which was not bad but, the hot dog we ordered in a kids meal came out completely cold as well as my husbands burger. The fruit for the kids meal is prepackaged apple slices which we would not have chosen if we had known that’s what they meant when they said fruit. My other child had a kids burger with soup and unfortunately she didn’t eat any of it. Her burger was very dry and the soup tasted like it was old and stale. My burger was hot and bland tasting plus the sweet potato fries I ordered came out mostly burnt to a crisp. I am surprised we had so many people tell us this was a better burger place...

I love Wegmans, but honestly, who doesn't? The Burger Bar is great because everyone in my family can get what they want when we can't agree on a restaurant. Aside from the boozy shakes and killer zucchini fires, can we be real and talk about the Muzak sitch going on in Wegmans right now? Apparently, I am Wegmans (current) target demographic. Wegmans, I see you. You playin' all of my jams from my teen years and it throws me back to the late 80s and early 90s, and I lose all control, and start making impulse buys in the beauty department because Taylor Dayne is belting out an anthem from my teen years and I wanna look 16 again. You got me Wegmans. You see me. I'm getting older, but I still feel 16. Well played, Wegmans....
