Monday evening my wife and I came to Applebee's on front street in binghamton NY. It was approx 4:50 pm when we were seated. We both ordered the cheeseburger meals that came with a salad, an appetizer , and a cheeseburger with French fries , we also ordered coffee to drink . Well when our salad came out , we ate them with no issues , our appetizers came next , my wife ordered onion rings , and I ordered boneless wings , her onion rings were ok but key wings were very spicy , I asked our waiter if there was any other choice for the boneless wings besides hot , he said yes , that they could make them plain , or with BBQ sauce also., well I wasn't impressed with the choices and they wouldn't replace them with a different item , just different wings , so u said fine , please bring me the plain then. So about 5 minutes later the waiter brought me out the boneless wings , I tried biting into them and they were as hard as rock , well I wasn't very happy about that either ... Before finding our waiter , another employee brought out our cheeseburgers with fries .. So after figuring out which burger was which ( because my wife ordered hers with no pink in it , and I like mine a little pink ) , I grabbed a couple fries and put them in my mouth and omg there was so much salt on them that I couldn't taste the fries, just the salt , so we found our waiter and I said , excuse me , but there is what too much salt on these fries , do you guys always put salt on your fries ? He said yes so I asked if he could exchange them for fries with no salt , he said yes , but you didn't order them without salt , I apologized and said thank you , well while the waiter left our table to correct that part of our order I excused myself from the table to use the rest room . When I was done using the rest room and after washing my hands I turned to the door and went pull on the handle to open the door to leave the rest room , I went to pull open the Mens room door and just after getting it open ( it was quite heavy to pull open , I went to move my cane and it slipped on the very wet tile floor and when it slipped I fell hard on the floor , hurting my tail bone , my back and I must have hit the back of my head on something because it hurts still as of today , once on the wet tile floor , blocking the way for anyone to go in or come out an employee came over and asked if I needed assistance getting back up on my feet , said yes please , well he tried betting me back up in the bathroom but the floor was still to wet , so he had to drag me across the rest of the floor far enough that my feet were off the tile and onto the rug outside if the bathroom . He assisted me getting back on my feet and asked me if I would like to sit for a few moments before trying to get back to my table and I said sure , so he grabbed a chair close by and helped me sit down , I was in extreme pain , a female manager approached me and asked if I was ok and I said no , when I fell i hurt my back , my tailbone and the back of my head , she asked if I would like an ambulance and I said no , but right not right now , I just want to go home , so. The manager went and told angel what happened and she came running over and asked if I was ok , I told her the same thing I said to the manager and that I want to go home ... So the manager asked angel to pull the car over to the side door and she would assist me out and to the car. The manager asked angel for our names and phone number before we left and said she would call later that evening to check on me to see how I was feeling still ... Well.... I am still waiting for that call... And my head , tailbone , and back still hurt though from what happened that night ..... I should have went to the hospital that night .. I just hate going to the doctor or hospital unless its absolutely necessary to go... I wonder why they haven't...
Read moreThis will probably be taken down, which is why I'm also posting it to job sites as well to warn future employees. Don't get me wrong, the other employees, minus the managers, are great and understanding and very fun to be around. Other than that, don't be a dishwasher here. They quit constantly even after just a day. I'll tell you exactly why. Literally my first day, the dish machine had broken and we had to wash everything by hand that night. There was an apron available when I first started, but it was already so old that there was no use to wearing it anyway. I had asked for another one shortly after, and to this day had not received one. For any other dishwashers out there, you know what it's like to be soaking wet for your entire shift if you dont have one, which can result in certain health issues. The morning person, Joseph Green never did his job, would always leave early and if you're a female, watch yourself around him. The first interaction with him was extremely uncomfortable, and other coworkers who have worked with him have told me similar things. Also I hadn't had a proper hose since I started there and had to use the floor hose, and then when we finally got one, which was literally a few days ago, there was no pressure and it was so hot you couldn't even hold it. I had addressed all of these issues with management, but nothing ever came of it. Not to mention that because all of our new hires would quit, there were multiple times where I had to work 7 days a week. Don't believe me? Work there yourself and they will prove my...
Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! We stopped for lunch while traveling through the area & I deeply regret it. The employees were short & rude. We ran out of drinks numerous times. It took 15 minutes for someone to take our order, then another 25 minutes just to get salads! 40 minutes after we ordered, we FINALLY got our food! This was after 1pm on a random Saturday & they were not at all busy. When our server, Alyssa, checked in on us, we asked if they were short-staffed & pointed out the wait times. She said that it was because of our "big order." There were only 5 of us - no one ordered appetizers, alcohol, steaks, or anything that would take any extra time. There was no apology. She just brought our check & left. As a side note to the service, she did NOT suggest any beverages at all. There's a sign on our table saying that our server is supposed to recommend some featured beverages. We waited for over an hour from the time we walked in until we finally got our food!!! The food was mediocre at best. Both my daughters got the chicken alfredo. The pasta was dry & bland. I got chicken tenders that were dry. The women's restroom was absolutely disgusting! There was toilet paper on the floor & every toilet was dirty. The toilet in the handicapped stall was smeared with feces, while the other 2 had plenty of urine on the seats. Overall, I do not at all recommend giving this place your business. There's a Cracker Barrel right beside it. If you find yourself in this area, you're better off anywhere else...
