Angel's — Restaurant in Town of Durham

Nice little dinner around Durham. Not many options to eat in that area. They food was classic diner fare with some Mexican elements and options. They even have decent pizza. The food was not bad but pretty average. The staff are friendly but the service was very slow. Waited more than 10 min for a simple coffee refill. Then I realized part of the cause as I went to pay. The cashier and young man at the counter were on their cellphones when they should have been managing the staff and helping expedite orders. They appeared to be family of the owner. It wasn’t even that busy there at the time. Cellphone addiction takes its toll on the world in so many various ways. I might stop by again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there because of the slow service. Maybe the proprietor of the business will read this and take notice of...

Ordered from Angel’s tonight as I normally do, a burrito with extra cheese, Guac, and sour cream. When it was delivered, the burrito had no cheese, guac, or sour cream which was disappointing but not a big deal. I also ordered penne Alfredo, which I found a short dark hair in and many of the noodles had sketchy looking dark spots on them. Absolutely ruined my appetite, I liked ordering from Angel’s as they conveniently deliver to my house but it was such a waste of money I would rather just drive out of my way elsewhere for food. Cook used a dried out piece of cheese on my burger. It was so hard it didn't even melt. The waitress told the cook what I told her and he said that the cheese got hard while cooking on the burger. I have cooked many burgers with cheese. The cheese will melt or burn, it does not turn as hard as plastic. I even showed the waitress. We had no apology and was blown off. That wasnt the first and only issue . Had other issues before. They had a kid playing in the dining area while we were eating our food. Will never return there again. Just think if the cook is willing to lose a customer over a 35 cent piece of cheese what will he do to your food to...
