I've been to Nics a few times and for the most part I've had a great experience.

Last evening however- I found the hostess to be very unwelcoming and short. While sitting at the bar waiting for our table, the bartender seemed annoyed at our very existence and did not appear to want to take my drink order. So I waited. She threw a menu down in front of me and did not speak a word. Not a "hello, how are you?" Nothing. Since we had a reservation, one of the workers came up to let us know our table was ready. My drink order still had not been taken, so I told the 2nd person what I wanted before being shown to our table. The waitress that came over was actually very polite, she had to also take my drink order because it still had not been placed. I'm not quite sure where the disconnect was here with regards to the customer service end of things, but how you're treated when visiting an establishment can really make or break an experience, regardless of the food and drink quality.

The food is great, but I think for a restaurant to be truly great- customer service and how guests are made to feel is of utmost importance. I won't be dining...

Outstanding! Very thin, Neapolitan style pizza. This isn't your everyday street corner pizza. our pizzas were made with clearly quality ingredients and a delicious pizza dough. The pizzas are about 11 in, which could have been enough for two. we didn't realize so we ordered one for each of ourselves and we both had about two slices to take home which is about half a pie. I had the classic and ordered sausage and my daughter had the mushroom. both were outstanding delicate but yet full-of flavor. The sauce was light and had a garden tomato flavor (imagine that!)

The other items on the menu looked delicious. we'll have to try them next time. The pies came out very quickly. The service was friendly.

It was busy.

If you like a high quality well prepared pizza, this is a good place to go. We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon and did not have reservations, but we were able to sit outside on the patio which is very nice and on a beautiful spring day it was an...

This was our first time at Nic's. We just moved up to the area and were looking for a great Italian place. We found it! We made a reservation through OT and when we arrived our table was ready. Liz, our server, came over to our table a short while later to take our drink orders. Just before they arrived she took our food order. Everything was fresh, well presented with good portion sizes. A whipped ricotta starter was fantastic as was the perfectly cooked fried calamari. The wood fired pizza, the "Fungi", was delicious with an assortment of mushrooms. The flavor was great and the crust was nice and crispy. The chicken parmesan was also excellent and a very large portion. We were full and took food home. Liz was amazing; friendly, welcoming and efficient. We're definitely going to return. HIGHLY...

Love the decor and vibe...and the food. Excellent Italian food and very authentic wood fired pizza. As good as the pizza I enjoyed in Naples. First time we've dined in there after 6 carry-out lunches and dinners. Pasta is near perfect, as good as you'll find in the best restaurants. Good wine list. Full bar with tasty mixed drinks. A few small hiccups on service but the overall it was excellent. Highly recommend Arancini as an app. Wife says it's the best she's had. Portions are enough for lunch leftovers. Staff was accommodating and attentive. We'll be back!
