A year ago I went to Goldberg Bagels in Westhampton and they overcharged my credit card 60.00 on a large order thinking that I wouldn’t notice. I took a year off from them and went back today thinking that it was just a one time thing, but guess what? The wife overcharged me 30.00 to my credit card and was upset when I caught her. After asking for an itemized receipt she said we don’t do that and rolled her eyes at me. After confronting her to ask why the order came out to such a high price she told us to not come back if it bothered me so much. Craig and his wife are stealing at the register for most orders they ring in. At their prices they can’t be honest to the customers that support their little business. Very crowded. Couldnt see the line from the main road unlike other locations. Mostly teenagers. Took a while to place our order. I guess we could have chosen the designated bagel only line. Waiting for our order involved a lot of crowd shuffleing. Waiting area and order area are seemingly the same place. So we moved around from spot to spot just to wait for our number to be called. Is it chaotic, i guess. Should i care, no. Lay out is different. Ice coffees arent self serve but have to order at the counter. The bagels. Smells good from the unwrapping. The bagel has a healthy amount of poppy seeds. Good amount of scallions in the very creamy cheese. The bagel is toasted just right. Crispy where it needs to be on the outside, softer on the inside. Read moreThis place is the worst. 10:30am on a Sunday, line out the door. Waited 20 minutes to get one plain bagel to go. Asked for a coffee and told to go to the back of the other line and wait another 20 minutes. 5:54am on a Tuesday, doors wide open, furniture set out, “open” sign clearly displayed, no one else but staff in the store, told I have to wait 6 minutes until I’ll be served. Seriously?? Just two examples of the regular bad experiences I have here. 3 times out of 5 they’ll get your order wrong, zero sense of urgency, incredibly incompetent staff, very expensive for what it is.
