I’ve never actually been so absolutely disappointed by how bad the food tasted where I felt the need to leave a review, but there’s a first for everything. I spent about $80 maybe a little more here so i just want to save anyone else from the disappointment I had as well.
I will start off with one compliment- the hot honey chicken sandwhich was absolutely fire. Whatever they’re doing right with that, they need to do with the rest of the menu.
When you get to the dinner platters, that’s where disaster begins. It seems like a lot of food for the price you’re paying right? Well if any of it was edible I would say that but I actually ended up throwing out both dinner dishes they were so bad.
The actual meat on the platters, the ribs and brisket were so fatty. It like maybe one bite of actual meat, and then the rest were just chunks of fat. And then what throws me off even matter is that their sandwhich chicken was so good, but their dinner chickens were sooooo dry? Make it make sense. It doesn’t lol. Also, I’ve had some Smokey bbq sauces. This bbq sauce tasted like you were eating a straight up tree. It was terrible. The Mac and cheese looks homemade. It was bland and flavorless. And the cornbread was brittle and falling apart. It crumbled to peices. The mashed potatoes and corn were okish. Nothing amazing.
Anyway sorry to be so harsh. The employees were super nice but I hope the feedback is taken into consideration. It’s always sad to be looking forward to some good bbq and then to be sorely...
Read moreThis place makes some top tier sauce! I won some of their sauce in a raffle and had a $100 gift certificate to try them. I was trying to find a way to go there without having to drive so far just for food. I live an hour away from them, so the travel time is what makes going there a deal breaker consistently. It's worth going to East Hampton generally, but it should be a day thing. Not just to go eat. The person who helped us was very knowledgable and asked good questions in terms of what you'd like for your platter. The food was top quality. Our platters were worth every bit of that gift certificate and I'd love to come around this place again! I also had to buy their sauce on the way back home because we use it for some dinners.
My only critiques is regarding the mac and cheese. I wish it was more of a homemade baked mac and cheese with the toasted top. But definitely good mac and cheese nonetheless. The mashed sweet potatoes were definitely too seasoned with all spice. It gave it too much of a kick than I was expecting.
I liked the seating inside and outside. If we didn't have bad allergies, would've probably sat outside and enjoyed our meal.
Also, this place has their own parking area. So that's...
Read moreWay to expensive and the burgers are better at burger king. I'm a burger fanatic and I'll give props where its due, and this spot is nothing to rave about at least for burgers i didn't eat anything else. Main thing with the burgers were that they weren't seasoned properly. You can't expect the sauce you put in the burger to do all the work the meat needs to be seasoned well the patty had no flavor at all the cheese was good and the sauce that's it. The fries were pretty good. The burger i got had bacon peices in it the bacon wasn't cooked right either good idea though for $15 i was expecting a lot a lot more and the wait was over 20 min for 2 burgers. And my girl got the regular cheese burger @$13 she asked for coleslaw on it and said that was the only thing that gave the burger flavor. Looked like a nice joint but very disappointed with what we at. Step yo game up. Nothing more disappointing then being so hungry looking for a good burger and the burger looking better the it actually tasted. Have to give 1 star for price and disappointing food if you have the nerve to charge $15 for a burger you had better make sure that the burger is slammin' and...
