Gordy's Burger House — Restaurant in Town of Eastchester

So I was craving a REAL BURGER... I wanted to try something different. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the burgers are served on a huge toasted kaiser roll. It felt a bit uncomfortable since I'm married to a black man & everyone in there was predominantly Caucasian, but they stared at us & I couldn't make out some whispers & comments by customers. 2 female waitresses and almost every table was taken, but the servers were clearly in over their heads. They have a bar, but no one can make a daiquiri, kamikaze, mudslide or any other type of fancy drinks I love. After placing our orders we received my food which was lacking the additional topping I paid extra for. $2.00 Cheese $2.00 Onions & $2.00 for mushrooms. Then I gave it redone and my onion strings were delicious, the burger was tasty, but I only had 2 bites. And then they packed my food to go, which I asked them to just bring me a box. And I guess the waitress wasn't thinking once again, Because now I left out of the restaurant with a piece of a bit Burger. The other half of the Burger was thrown out and then my onion stroils was thrown out also so I was really upset when I got home and I wanted to finish my food and there was nothing in there. I went to Gordy's for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. My brother was up from Brooklyn and wanted a burger so we decided to try this place. For a restaurant called Gordy's Burger House, I'd think there would be more burger selections or at least have a few more topping options to go on the burger. To be honest, it was a little hard to find where the burger was listed. I would have thought the burger would be the first option on the menu or at least have a section called build your burger and have a list of toppings, cheeses and sauces that can be added. I ordered the cheeseburger with American cheese (there were only 4 cheeses to choose from). When the burger came, that's all it was. The usual lettuce, tomato and onions wasn't on the side. Fries were included but I opted for sweet potato fries for $1 more. The burger itself was seasoned and very good. Fries were good also. I would have liked the additional toppings though. There are 2 doors, the left side door is the bar and the right side is the restaurant. We went to both sides before a waitress found us looking around to seat us. The restaurant looks a bit outdated. The best part of the restaurant was probably the TVs in every single both and you get your own remote. Perhaps the dinner experience is a little better. I would go back for dinner to check...

We ordered the chicken parm sub, a burger, and a side salad. We were told they were out of vegetables for the side salad, about 10 min later someone at the table next to us ordered a full size salad with no problem ... I'm not sure why we weren't allowed to order a salad but other customers were, but it was very frustrating. Our food took a very long time to come out.
